collapse expand iconDescription

These are the sticks that Slipknot's acrobatic drummer Joey Jordison uses. Ahead's polyurethane covers make this stick more durable than wood sticks and extra resilient for extended bash sessions. Built-in Vibration Reduction System (VRS) allows you to play more comfortably for longer durations. Super high-impact nylon tips are replaceable. Feel what Joey feels when he's tying-up those Slipknot grooves. .540" diameter, .030" wall, medium taper, 15-11/16" long.

Pretty Good Sticks

these sticks are really good sticks considering it's very hard to break them.there are only a couple problems.after awhile it is hard to get a good bounce out of the sticks.thats probly why they have replaceable tips.also make sure to replace the covers on them when they start to get down to the metal, because if you dont they will crack your cymbals.i had to learn that the hard way

Breaks Easily

I had one pair that lasted about 2 weeks, i had preplacement covers and everything but it was the metal shaft that snapped. so i was like ok 2 weeks isnt that bad since i was drumming alot. I go and buy another pair, and they break right out of the box. If your drumming death metal or something stupid fast and hard. These probably arent the best sticks for you.

Don't buy these from guitar center. They treat these as any other drumsticks and will not return or exchange if they break withing the return period.

For the longest time I've been using wooden 7a drumsticks. They just kept breaking too fast. These guys work so perfectly. They have some rebound to them and they last. I'm definitely gonna get a few more pair to fill my stick bag.

I have used these in 2 live shows, they really give an aggressive attack and feel amazing to play. The sticks have no damage and I am a very hard hitter. They are also not extremely heavy, I'd say they are about the same as Vic Firths 7A sticks. Overall amazing product

  • yes i would buy another pair of these great drum sticks

I`m looking for AHEAD sticks that are sized 7A... what model of metal sticks do you produce that are 7A in size?

The Vater American Hickory 7A Drumsticks or the Vic Firth American Classic Hickory Drum Sticks would be a good choice.
