Excellent for the price

I suppose if you're a professional drummer using this for shows, there are probably better ones out there, but you'll pay for it. And I've found this product to be fantastic! Response on the pads is great, I've had no crosstalk at all between the pads (and if you do have crosstalk, you can always adjust the pad sensitivity to reduce that problem). Very happy with this sample pad! Sounds great, feels solid, and the price is unbeatable for the quality.

Bad...Just bad

I got this thing and returned it the same day i got it. When you hit one pad, every few hits it will trigger a random pad. Plus you can consistently hit the pads the same way and the sound will be different every time. It will either be too quiet or too loud.

I use this to add additional sounds to my Kit. Read the Manual. I use Audacity to edit my sound files, and I downloaded from Alesis it's Sample Converter Program which ensures your samples are properly formatted. Hit the top Triggers in the middle for best performance.

This product has pad triggering problems. The Triggers are not very sensitive. Sounds are sub par. Most reviews use uploaded sounds and have a lot of junk music covering up how this pad sounds. Ok if you just hit one pad. The older Sample Pad is much better.

The buttons are very fragile. To add layers it has conditions. The type of download are conditioned.
