Very cool instrument. I find the functionality to be excellent for the price. I have used it seamlessly as a controller for my Yamaha MODX. My only two complaints is that the midi language in the editor is a bit difficult to understand, and I occasionally get a stuck note here or there in the wireless signal transmission, but this is easily dealt with by assigning a pad as a "panic" to stop the signal.

  • A true technomancer's battle axe.

It's everything I love about Guitar and Keyboard jam packed into one programmable super instrument. The keyboard itself is wireless. Nuff said. It comes bundled with all the software you would need, including Hybrid 3 and Ableton Live. This thing is a monster of an instrument with loads of customizable lights, faders, buttons, and other cool stuff with 25 presets you can save and switch to on the fly from the keytar itself. I had it all up and running right out of the box in minutes with my existing midi software, but if you're just getting started, install the software and figure it out because it's absolutely worth it.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure. I don't have one to check. If you mixer has the same connectivity, it should work. The signal doesn't know where it's going,

The 3 softwares included are lite editions so they won't take up too much room. 2 to 6 gigs per software at the most.

Can you play it without connecting it to anything? Like can i play and listen to the sounds from the keytar itself? Or do i really need to make a wireless connection?

This keytar is a midi controller, so it would need to be wirelessly connected to a computer in order to hear any sounds from the keytar.
