Let's go with 4 and a half stars actually. Because number one is 5 and two is 4. The reason two isn't is good is because no tab is on screen (it has a printable pdf file) and because the background makes me sick because it's moving around the whole time. Apart from that, the videos r excellent for all out shredding and insane alternate picking. He also gives very helpful tips on practicing phrasing. Cheesy humor is also an issue (esp. in number 2) but face it, Paul is so cool he can afford to be that lame. good buy.

This DVD is probably one of the best DVDs a lead guitarist can buy out there if you really want to shred with a style of speed that could get peoples attention to listen. All the licks flow smoothly and really improve your technique from alternate picking fast to phrasing with attitude. Paul Gilbert explains everything well with each lesson. Both videos are different from eachother so you dont have to worry about him teaching the same thing. I would recommend this DVD to an intermediate-going-on-to-advanced lead guitar player. A great video that every shredder should consider buying.
