I really dislike leaving reviews for stuff that I don't like very much but I wanted to save anyone time and money. I'd say about a third of this book is either about Floyd rose or the examples that are being shown in a diagram use a Floyd rose guitar. I've honestly never met anyone who has said "man, I'd really like to learn about repairing and maintaining my Floyd rose… preferably a book that has less than 100 pages." Maybe I'm not aware of the Floyd rose niche market out there but I've only heard about negative experiences with Floyd rose tremolo's so I can only imagine that anyone who wants to have a better understanding about setting up, repairing and maintaining their guitar probably isn't going to even want to mess with their Floyd rose tremolo. Maybe I'm wrong and there are people with Floyd Rose Tremolo systems that were eager to find a book that goes so in depth on the topic but it just kinda bums me out that this book isn't really the "quick guide" I was hoping to get. I'll just have to stick with my guitar player repair guide that has about the same amount of information on Floyd Ross Tremolo systems but the 300+ pages is full of so much more information that is useful for us non Floyd rose Tremolo folk. I was REALLY hoping for a quick guide with more… 3 stars to me means that the info that it does have is useful but there isn't as much information on the topics I was under the impression that this book would provide. So if you're looking for something with the bear minimum in a quick guide then this will get you started. I hope the review is helpful.
