Great Guitar!

I was impressed the second I started playing this wonderful instrument, great projection, very warm sound. The only thing i could not understand is how a guitar of this price range comes with nut and bridge made out of plastic! I replaced them with pieces made out of bone and Boom! the sound got even better. I really recommend it to any serious guitarist.
A real beauty at a great price!

I came across this guitar by accident, browsing for a new classical guitar, and this one blew my mind. On the surface, the cedar top and mahogany back and sides are just gorgeous. But, the real clincher is when you play it. Rich, smooth, and with a surprising amount of projection for a cedar top. I have to play without nails because of my day job, so I was originally planning to buy a spruce top, but this one stole my heart! I recommend D'addario titanium treble strings to make the guitar sing out in all ranges. Highly recommended!
These are well made and crafted

The Alhambra 7c is a very well crafted and finished guitar for the money. The plastic nut and saddle need to be swapped with a bone one to really get it sounding good. It does sound a little boxy at first, but really improves when played a lot. I hated the strings that came on and tried many, but that is a matter of taste. After a bit of work swapping out the saddle and nut and strings, mine bows sounds really good.
A classic beauty for both eyes and ears!

A beautiful instrument all around. The back and sides are a unique reddish brown that looks amazing. Excellent intonation. Warm and expressive, but powerful when you need it to be, especially for a cedar top. You can't go wrong for the price!

I just ordered the Alhambra 7c. I forgot to ask; does it have a Truss rod. If it doesn't do you need one. Also was this a good choice or should I get the Cordoba instead?
No. Classical guitars typically do not have truss rods due to lower string tension. This is a great guitar.submitted3 years ago
