I bought a Taylor GS Mini in June, and almost immediately, I realized that the pick up wasn't working properly. When I plugged it into my amp, the sound didn't come through unless I wiggled it around quite a bit. I figured it was a bad Jack. I brought it back to the store and the first guy I spoke to took it back to the acoustic guitar room, plugged it in to an amp, and it worked fine. I have several guitars so I don't play this one everyday, but every time I played it I always had trouble getting it to come through the amp. So, I took it in to Merit, the luthier, and asked him to test it for me. He said he thought the Jack was bad. I asked him if he could replace it and how much it would cost. I think it cost me around $35. and I haven't had any issues since. I know this is a long story, but feel like this guitar was bought new just 2 months ago, and I probably shouldn't have had to pay to have it fixed. I've bought 4 guitars from Guitar Center since 2020, so I'd call myself a regular customer. Since Pete left I haven't really connected with another salesperson. Merit has definitely been helpful as he has installed 2 LR Baggs pick up for me.
