Alto

collapse expand iconDescription

The Alto Professional Busker is a portable, battery-powered speaker for performing musicians. Weighing only 12 lb. at 12" tall, the Busker pushes a formidable 200W through a 6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter. Its integrated 3-channel mixer includes a pair of combination XLR/TRS inputs for microphones, instruments and line-level sources, while a third channel supports Bluetooth or 3.5 mm auxiliary connections. Users who require additional inputs and greater output power can wirelessly link two Busker speakers via Bluetooth and further configure their settings remotely using the free Alto Pro app. On-the-go musicians can take advantage of the Alto Busker’s portability and flexibility, amplifying their performances anywhere they roam.

Alto Professional Busker Tilt

Big Sound, Small Footprint

Tap into expansive live sound with the Alto Busker. Modern driver technology offers volume and definition in a package roughly the size of the average nearfield studio monitor. Between the low-frequency driver and the high-frequency tweeter, the spectrum is represented from 60Hz–20kHz. Bottom-end translation is punchy and assertive, mid-range instruments glisten with enhanced intelligibility, and high-frequency extension imparts a hint of air alongside hi-fi sparkle. The Alto Professional Busker provides exciting performance in a highly portable, battery-operated speaker.

Alto Professional Busker Mixer

Built-in Alesis Effects

Onboard Alesis DSP generates multiple effects to add professional polish to instruments and vocals, including three kinds of reverb, delay, chorus, flanger and rotary. Dial in just the right amount of level using dedicated Channel FX knobs located on mixer channels 1 and 2, from just a splash to a tidal wave of expression, depending on style and taste. Room, plate and hall reverbs create space and dimension, transforming dry sounds into lush sonic landscapes. The Alto Busker is versatile to the core, capable of not only amplifying performances, but also significantly shaping the mix with built-in DSP effects.

Alto Professional Busker Carry Handle

Road-tested Reliability

Night after night, gig after gig, Busker boasts rugged reliability. Its compact shell is durable from every side and angle—lay it horizontally, stand it up vertically, tilt it back to monitor yourself or pole-mount it for maximum dispersion and audience engagement. The Alto Professional Busker has a dependably sturdy enclosure, regardless of orientation. Best of all, the speaker’s durability weighs in at a feathery 12 lb., which is incredibly light by any standard. Busker proves that road-ready strength doesn’t have to come with a prohibitive increase to size or weight.

Alto Professional Busker Portable Speaker

Battery-powered Operation

The Alto Busker cuts ties with conventional limitations by offering battery power for the nomadic performer. Eco Mode supports up to 24 hours of battery life for fewer charges in between sets, and an overnight charge will bring Busker back up to full health when it’s running low. A convenient, 4-segment LED indicator displays approximate life from 100% down to 0%, so you’ll never be caught off guard by a dying battery. The Alto Professional Busker also runs on a traditional IEC, rounding out its power options based on player preference or gig necessity.

Power, portability and versatility define the Alto Busker. For on-the-move musicians who demand top-tier sound, this dynamic speaker delivers on all fronts. Untether with battery power and immerse audiences in up to 106dB SPL—well-suited to medium-size venues or outdoor stages. If the gig calls for more “oomph,” wirelessly link a pair of Busker speakers together, or run an XLR from the main output straight to FOH. Fill out your sound with backing tracks beamed from your mobile device directly to Busker’s channel 3 over Bluetooth, or hook up a 3.5 mm AUX for hardwired connectivity. Whatever the show calls for, the Alto Professional Busker is equipped to handle it.

I did extensive research on the best battery powered speakers and this one consistently came back as the front runner. Even after all that research I was still pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound, battery life, and functionality of this compact, lightweight speaker. True to its name, it's great for busking or even as a beefed up sound source for chill parties and park hangs.

  • Great all around speaker for the price

I use the speaker with an acoustic guitar and electric guitar using a Line 6 Pod Go. I also use it to play MP3 files. I use it as a practice amp for home use. Very versatile. Good sound quality, good EQ, and mixer with FX.

I have a battery powered pa system that I have been lugging around. party speakers, Mackie mobile mix yada yada. It's just to much to lug even though it does what I want. This little Alto Busker just blew me away when I tested it in the store. Everything I need. Just get it.

Line level would be from a mixer. It's a matter of input voltage. You can try any of them. you won't hurt it.
