The Alvarez MP66 Parlor offers incredible craftsmanship, tone and beauty. The solid mahogany top shimmers under the flawless Shadowburst finish, and the hand-crafted Paua abalone purfling frames the body beautifully. The MP66e is fitted with the LR Baggs HiFi system. HiFi is a premium, non-invasive design that pairs dual bridge plate sensors with high-fidelity electronics, providing exceptional balance, definition and dynamics. Due to the closed sensor design, HiFi also has excellent feedback resistance and its built-in, studio-quality preamp is voiced to compliment the pickups for an optimal plug-and-play experience.

Additionally, the Alvarez MP66 features the FS6 bracing system—a forward-shifted, scalloped X allowing for a slightly larger soundboard area around the bridge. This helps generate more vibration, which is heightened by AAA soundboards and premium components throughout, culminating in powerful voicing, inspiring articulation, and instant response.

    Woods, sound, finish are all excellent. My only misgiving is the back of the bridge where you can see small gaps between the bottom of the bridge and the soundboard. The first one, I returned because the gaps were large enough that feeler gauge could slide between the bridge and soundboard on each corner of the back of the bridge. This one isn't as bad as the first one but does have a small gap in the misddle.
