Alvarez Regent Series Ukuleles, like the soprano-sized RU22S, have been carefully designed to deliver an open sounding and responsive instrument with good projection, volume and fine tone.

All Alvarez ukes are constructed with a dovetail neck joint for optimal strength and transfer of energy between the neck and body. The bracing design is a modification on traditional fan-style braces to optimize response. The response is also aided by a solid œslotted rosewood bridge, which enhances projection and helps to make string changes easier and quicker.

Other appointments and features include quality-seasoned tonewoods, real bone nut and saddles, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and premium tuners. Case sold separately.

    This is the best uke you will find for the price. The finish and wood are beautiful, and, yes, it is a solid mahogany uke. It sounds great, as it comes with Aquila strings and has a solid-wood body. The slight curve in the neck helps a lot with action and ease of play. The uke has friction tuners, but they are some of the best you can get. The strings tune easily and stay in tune for long periods of time. I got this ukulele as a Christmas present and really couldn't be happier.
