The American DJ Mega Flash DMX is a powerful DMX-compatible strobe light with a whopping 800 watts of output. Compact and pocketbook-friendly, the brilliant Mega Flash DMX outstrobes similar fixtures in its price range by as much as a brightness factor of 4.

With the power to transform any dance floor into a heavenly pulsar, the Mega Flash DMX strobe light is the product of cutting-edge lighting technology that allows for enormous amounts of added wattage without all the excess weight associated with older designs. Small and compact, the fixture weighs a mere 5 lb. and is housed in a durable, high-tech plastic case that protects the strobe light from damage during transport, setup, and breakdown.

The American DJ Mega Flash DMX lets you change strobe speeds and adjust dimming from 0-100 percent via a standard DMX lighting controller. Speed- and dimming-control knobs are also located on the rear of the unit if you want to operate the Mega Flash DMX without a controller. The American DJ strobe light also can be set to operate in sound-active mode to flash along to the beat of the music.

    I like that this strobe has a dimmer option, but to be honest there is nothing about this thing that sets it apart from any other half decent strobe on the market. Works fine, is bright as hell and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, so 4 stars!

    All in all this strobe light is pretty good. The speed adjustment knob is sensitive meaning it goes from approximately 1 flash per second to 50 flashes per second in the first quarter turn of the knob, while the rest of the 3/4 turn doesn't change it much. The sound function seems pretty useless, I thought it was going to be a winner worked well with a foot stomp, but to the beat of the music... not even close. However it appears to be very well made, looks great and is positively BLINDING. If the sound function worked better it would be 5 stars.

    I've been through many strobes but this one beats them all! I put this in my high school auditorium and it fully lit the whole area. If you want a really bright, reliable, controllable and just amazing light then GET THIS!

    Great strobe light. I use one of these on my mobile DJ rig and it works great. Plenty bright! DMX allows percision control, which is a must for my show. Dollar to watt ratio is unbeatable! Mine is over two years old with extensive use and still works like new! Good for small through medium size venues. For big venues, buy 2 or 3. Would definitley buy it again!

    This is one of the newer ones. It was released as a part of new line. Yes it comes with a power cord.
