Have 1 & buying 2 more 'cause it is a great inspection lite

I do not experience the stickiness that one reviewer provided. In fact, I sometimes hold the lite in my mouth by the lite's pocket clip. First, the magnet at the end of this lite is covered with thin but tough rubber film; so, it stays in place when mounted horizontally on shiny metal (unlike the company's other more expensive option where the magnet is mounted under the shiny pocket clip without the film -- it slides down and off the side of my metal desk -- making it useless; thus returned). I often mount mine horizontally on the side of a metal desk to inspect wiring with both hands that support amateur radio operations, ie, a lot of power cords, wires, and COAX cabling -- see pix. I also often use it grabbed by my mouth, or laying it on the floor while inspecting the patch and power cabling under my pedal boards. In these cases, I use the more powerful side LEDs that puts out broad lite (not spot). The single, end LED is weak in comparison; but, great if you don't want to get blinded in really dark spaces. I've had mine for 2 years and it still looks like new; its been dropped and tossed, etc. I like it so much, I want one dedicated to supporting amateur radio operations; another in my guitar 'pedal board' repair bag; and the 3rd for general use in the home/auto. Given its LED, the battery life is great and the side LEDs really light up the area when used within 3 ft of the area of interest. So, I'm about to now buy the additional 2. Only real issue, not of the lite, is ensuring I don't bump into it when working in tight spaces. And, it doesn't replace the typical spot flash lites that . Highly recommend.
Why was it sticky?

The rubber was sticky. I tried to clean it but nothing worked. This was a gift for my boss so imagine how embarrassed I was when he pulls it out and it sticks to his hand. Gross.
