Very nice stands, and they are very large. Looked like they were metal, but they are some kind of very dense thermo- fused MDF, which is fine. Unfortunately, they did not come with grounding spikes, which will be added later, aftermarket. The speaker isolation system is very well engineered, hard to describe, but kind of a rubber, post mount suspension system. I noticed an immediate difference in imaging, and bass response. They make my Tannoy speakers sing.

Unfortunately, after listening for a day, or so, I notice resonance, which appears to be the result of not having adjustable leveling spikes, at the base. Of course these help bond the stands/ speakers to the ground on soft carpeted surfaces. These are still very nice stands, and improve sound quality dramatically, but at this price point, should have the spikes. I may need to retro them to my set.

They are a lot larger than they look in the picture. I thought they would be metal, but they are a high- quality, thick, dense, compressed wood, or something. The bases are large, and provide a stable mount for the speaker. At 36 inches tall, they present the speaker just at ear level, while seated. The patented isolation system has metal pipes, connected to rubber mounts, and provide an excellent platform. They can be adjusted for tilt, but not sure why you would want to do this. They are made in the USA, which is a surprise, and were packaged, and shrink wrapped very well. I am very pleased with the appearance, and performance. Bass extension was very good, and mid- high ranges seemed more defined. They work as advertised.
