Pretty cool with all the features

First off cashier Justin R knew his stuff. This keyboard has all fixings for a long time of fun. Walked in looking for a drum machine but got this instead. It has almost everything one could ask for starting off. Justin also had stated this was what he was working on getting next. Asked for demo as he knew his way around the equipment and he was happy to show us. Justin was true to the statements made. This equipment has tons of features, lots of usefulness and most importantly it doesn't overload the user with too many functions. Sure it is only one full day after purchase, but the kids have been using for many hours. It is primarily for my middle school child with two instruments behind him. This instrument allows his to now play with his electric guitar for sampling. Also bought software, audiobox, cable and extended warranty because I know the kids are going to be playing for a while. It was a great experience and glad Justin R. helped the way he did. Best part is that everything fits on a standard computer desk.

not a bad controller

Its a good solid keyboard for the money but the advertised midi control connections to the DAW.or Arturia Lab 4 are what I bought it for. and they are a fail. Not all or even most of the midi controls map. Control mapping works medium well on my new high end gaming laptop but not at all on my gaming desktop. Forget getting any help from Presonus or Arturia. They are email-based and useless. 4 day turnaround for useless responses. "Is laptop turned on? Did you register and activate?" I would recommend as a basic midi keyboard but as usual connecting control commands is not satisfying. Hard to map. Funky software. auto learning knobs and sliders is a fail in Studio One and Arturia Lab 4. It's not much better functionality than using my Yamaha MX49 synth or my 20 yr old M-Audio keyboard as a midi controller. Maybe an expert midi programmer would be satisfied but a home studio user not so much.

    This keyboard had a lot of good features and the sound libraries that come with it and also can be downloaded are extensive and good. But my biggest problem is that it can't be used without drivers installed into your Windows or MacOS computer. Even though it has midi out port, it just doesn't work without the software. This surely could be fixed or upgraded. Then I'd give this this a better rating.

    Was going to get a mini keyboard but this was on sale for cheap. It worked as soon as I hooked it up and my DAW recognized it immediately. Easy to use for a novice. I haven't been able to figure everything out yet but it works for me being that I just want to add basic sounds to my mix and some drum sounds. The only drawback is that the keys themselves feel a bit flimsy. But it's not too bad. I still give it 5 stars
