CLEARLY THE BEST CHOICE!!!
I spent almost two months researching mics over the internet, and everytime I looked for an inexpensive, efficent and amazing performance microphone...THIS IS THE BEST CHOICE. I used the AT2035 solely for vocals and heard nothing short of almost flawless quality. This microphone also works well on tube amps and cabinets (bass or guitars). As for acoustics it picks up a lot of noise. But that can be compensated with a compresser. If you go to the Audio-techina website you'll find more than enough info on this mic stats. This is an awesome mic and I'm so happy for purchasing it.

Rap Hip-Hop Vocals Are Cluttered In Mid Section..
Its a reliable mic that gets the job done but for me personally, I am very unpleased with it. I am in the process of upgrading to the AT4040 becasue this mic lacks the ability to pick up the upper end clarity I desire from my vocals.. I use my mics specifically for recording rap vocals (@PHILTHY9FIFTY) and prior to this I was using an AT2020 primarily and this is honestly just a more expensive AT2020 with a shock mount included with the low end freq cutoff as a bonus.. I shouldn't have expected a major leap in performance moving from the AT2020 to the AT2035 which is why I am being fair and giving it a 3 out of 5 rather than a 1 or a 2.. But I personally recommend you professional musicians who take your music seriously and want to make this a life long career, this is NOT the mic for you! When you begin layering vocal tracks, even with proper EQ and mixing, you will quickly be frustrated by muddy cluttered sounding vocals.. Trust me.

This microphone performs way better than other microphones in its class. It is crisp, clean, and witheld the natural sound. With a decent pre-amps and gain control it is a winner.

This is a great mic! I use it for just about everything a mic can be used for, from recording in front of my amp to talking in voice chats with friends. This mic will NOT disappoint.

Using it in small to medium venues. There is a learning curve on setting it up.
