I needed a secure way to attach my AKG c414 to my microphone stand and this clip was perfect! Easy to use right out of the package. I screwed it onto my mic stand. My microphone fit right into the clip and I was good to go! This clip held my microphone securely through the few hour recording session. Afterwards, cleanup was a cinch, pulled off my microphone, unscrewed the clip. Turns out the clip was so small, it fit right into the microphone case and now I can take it with the mic where ever I go.

Better Than The Originals

I have a collection of vintage microphones that I bought back in the 1970s, and several of the mic clips have been lost or broken. These Audix D-Clip replacements have turned out to be better than the original clips in all cases. I use them for these microphones: AKG C-451, C-452, D-190, Electrovoice RE-11, RE-15, and Neumann KM-84. One of the best features of the clips is the knob that allows you to tighten the clip in the desired position without it drooping. The original clips either needed a tool to tighten a slotted screw head or had no means of tightening at all. I also like how Audix included a little bit of instruction, mentioning that the mic's are meant to be snapped into position rather than slipped in from the end. I would've been afraid of breaking the clip otherwise, but they seem to be durable enough for this action. These are simple devices that just seem to work as intended. We'll see how they hold up over time, but for now, I'm planning on buying more to replace all of my old clips.

This narrow mic clip is a perfect, snug fit for the EV 757 vocal mics with the narrow barrel. Bought one, then bought another!
