I recently needed to get a drum mic bundle and I really didn't want to spend a ton of money. I'm not doing any touring, just playing local bars and events 2-4x a month. Do I know there are better mics out there - yeah, but I did my homework and this bundle really shines and beats other mid-range mics. The Audix F series is modeled after the highly rated D series and come already pre-EQ'd for their application; making it really easy to get the sound you want without much fuss on the mixing board. You get 5 mics in this pack for your basic 5 piece kit (1 kick, 1 snare, 3 tom). All have their own mic clip and it comes in a pretty nice padded case to tote everything around in - with room for other stuff such as Audix dVice clips (which I also highly recommend) and cables. The mics themselves are hefty and feel solid and rugged - I'm sure they won't mind if you end up whacking them every once in a while. They're also compact making them easy to position and keep out of your way. As I mentioned the dVice mic mounts really help. This mic bundle will be perfect for an average joe gigging musician looking for great, solid sound and won't break the bank and could be paid off within 3-5 gigs.
