Description
The Audix f2 microphone is lightweight, compact, and easy to position. With a wide frequency response of 52Hz-15kHz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels of 139dB, the Audix f2 is an excellent choice for preserving the attack of instruments like rack toms, congas, saxophone, guitar cabinets, and brass.
Roadworthy Audix construction includes a precision-cast zinc-alloy body, black finish, laser etched model number, steel mesh grill, gold XLR connector, and a tension-fit heavy-duty-nylon mic clip.
The Audix f2 microphone's ransformerless design, low impedance, and balanced output result in interference-free performance-even with long cable runs.

These mics perform great in a live venue. The sound is pre equalized and produces a very usable sound before adjusting the EQ settings of the mixer. Really nothing to complain about.

The Audix f2 dynamic mic is well thought out in design as it captures the sound of toms nicely with good depth as they have already created a nice EQ curve on the mic, so you don't have to do much at the console. The hyper-cardioid pattern is very good in not getting much "bleed or, spill-over" from other adjacent instruments, especially compared to other brand typical "cardioid-pattern" mics you may find used in other drum mic kits. Of course correct placement of the mic is crucial for good sound and isolation. I have 3 of these mics in the Audix FP7 Drum Pack and the entire kit sounds great with minimal EQ tweaks to all of their mics.
