        Yes, Pro Tools Studio Perpetual License includes ongoing use of the software indefinitely, but here's how updates and support work: Permanent access to the version you activated—your license never expires When you first purchase the perpetual license, it includes a 1-Year Software Updates + Support Plan: You get all releases and version updates issued during that year You also receive Standard support (billing, account, and technical help) This plan includes access to Avid’s Complete Production Bundle (115+ plugins), HEAT, Melodyne Essential, sample packs, and other extras—available only while your plan is active After the First Year The software keeps working and you keep any plugins and updates you've installed so far. You can still open and use that version—you just won’t receive future updates, and you lose access to plan-based extras when the year lapses production-expert.com You may choose to renew the Updates + Support Plan annually (typically around $99–$199 depending on vendor) to gain another year of updates, support, and included add-ons
