I want to add a video of Pachelbel's Canon to my previous review :: I used the looper to record guitar arpeggios, then I played the cello part on top of that. So you can really hear for yourself what this amp can do in our humble home studio.

I really enjoy this product at lower volumes - but the speakers don't handle volume, compression, and gain increase very well.
The King of Practice Amps for Electric Cello

I use this amp with my NS Wav4 electric cello. It perfectly produces the warm and resonant acoustic cello tones of the Wav4, plus sustained notes stay super clean without decay distortion. Input impedance is a great match for the Wav4's piezo pickups. I find the best settings for a classical cello sound is Super Flat, all effects and gain off, then all EQs, Volume and Master all at 75%. This allows me to set cello volume at 50% for practice levels, or crank the cello volume to annoy the neighbors. So many cellists have paved to way for rock on a cello - and this amp's rock patches will help me get there too! The king of practice amps :: I use as described in my practice space, and in classroom settings; then plug in the headphones for silent practice whenever. Mfg specs state longer play time with rechargeables versus alkalines, so I bought a set of 8 NiMHs, making it even more portable, and better for Mommy Nature and my pocketbook. All the effects are seriously good. I love the looper, but you'll need to load the free software to get the full 90 second capability. You'll need a pedal too, and the Roland FS-6 is excellent but pricey, so I built my own "FS-6 clone" to control looper and drums. Drums are excellent! You can't really use them for a whole song, but you'll certainly find enough patches for practice. Tap tempo meets expectations. Last but not least :: the balanced stereo line outs have a super low noise floor and are marvelous for either recording via my Scarlett interface and Reaper, or sending to the board in a live situation. Go in peace good people and play more electric cello !
