collapse expand iconDescription

The FV-30H and FV-30L are compact foot volume pedals with kickin' new designs. They've been specially created for saving space on your pedal board while maintaining the trusted BOSS standard for sound quality, reliability, and durability. These pedals are 100-percent professional grade, aluminum die-cast units, and feature smooth pivot action that supports subtle changes in volume control. Thanks to their small size, the FV-30H and FV-30L offer a huge advantage for traveling musicians and gigging players who need to maximize pedal board space.

As with the other models in the FV series, two different pedal versions allow you to choose the best type for your specific application:

FV-30H-A high-impedance pedal (with dedicated tuner output) that's best for connecting directly to an electric guitar or bass.

FV-30L-A low-impedance pedal equipped with stereo input/output for stompboxes, keyboards, and other digital instruments.

I'm very happy with the FV-30H. I previously had an Ernie Ball VP Jr. which felt good under foot but of course the string broke after 2 years of use (very disappointing, what a horrible design). I then picked up the Boss FV-500 which was nice but was the size of an ocean liner.....way too big. The FV-30 is built like a tank and is the perfect size IMO. I like the throw (though some may wish it was adjustable). I've used it before and after drive pedals for swells and as a master volume control and it works as expected. I have every bit of confidence in this pedal and that it's going to last. Boss tough.

The best volume pedal solution for a crowded pedal board. Boss pedal are built like tanks. Also have TU-3, BD-2w, 40th anniversary DS-1 and DD-7 in my chain. Smooth pedal action—no worry about breaking pedal strings. Works great for swells, ambient effects and simply dialing back from lead to rhythm playing. Been playing 46 years and tried them all. You can't beat Boss quality and durability.
