This Pedal is Boss
After reading a lot of reviews on various volume pedals that also work as expression pedals, I am very pleased with my selection of the Boss FV-500H. This pedal is substantial! It has a weighty feel and is very large and sturdy under foot. The cast aluminum body seems extremely durable, and has a great raw look. The minimum volume feature is an immeasurable asset, as it allows total control over the range of volume or expression variable for which you are using the pedal. I have used the pedal in-line as a volume control in front of my Egnater Rebel 30, and it is flawless. It has also worked brilliantly when plugged into the expression jack of my Line 6 M13 stompbox modeler. Feel was great out of the box, but this is also adjustable via a screw on the pedal's underside. Highly recommended!

broke after 10 months
Boss Roland support terrible, two small mounting screws to the shaft broke completely into leaving the pedal useless to use. NOT BUILT LIKE A TANK WITH THESE TINY SCREWS THE SIZE OF A WATCH STRAP. I have owned over 40 boss/roland products and will start to use other more dependable manufactures with better customer service.

Huge bottleneck: tiny screws in the axl

The tiny screws break easily and are a huge bottleneck rendering the resistance zero and thus useless.
My first volume pedal. Very pleased.

I did a lot of research regarding volume pedals and this one always made the list. I'm satisfied, but wow this thing is huge!

Very disappointing
Lowered volume equals lowered intensity on this pedal

When you lower the volume, the intensity is also dialed-back. I was hoping that the volume level would lower, while the sound you want remains intact. Moving on...
I would buy again if I really needed a volume pedal

I use this pedal sparingly, more on/off switch and as a volume pedal at home then for live use. It's a quality pedal that I could have done without at least for now on my pedal board. It is very solidly built and could probably last a long time.
Nice pedal
