This is the first stomp box a bassist should buy. It's Boss, so you know it will never break. And it has a great range of frequencies, so you can make pretty much any amp/bass setup sound better. I play a Rickenbacker 4003, and this thing has been great for accentuating the clear treble sounds of my ric. I use it to cut the mid down and boost the low end for a great growl and crystal clear highs. I would also suggest the Boss Bass limiter.

This box is a must have for all bass players it can make a $50 dollar bass sound great use it in your signature sound. It rocks in live shows or events you can adjust to make your bass felt and heard works great for recording to has all the important bass frequencies to pump up your bass sound mids and highs

I have the MXR 10 Band. It has more control. It has lots of lights. Its good for acoustic but for live bass, more is not really better. This gets you close enough for live without a lot of fiddlin and diddlin. More intuitive than a parametric. Its solid. It has indents at the 0. Put it on top of your amp (not on the floor) to tweek as needed during sound check or later when you need to add more mids because the keyboard player/drummer drown you out.

Going from a acoustic piano miced with a PCM into an amp, had some very uneven frequency issues. This EQ pedal solved them.

It's so infuriating that these do not even say whether or not they come with an AC adapter. Do not want battery powered ANYTHING. How do I find the adapter for this?
