BOSS Katana Bass Amplifiers | Introduction
Description
The BOSS Katana-110 bass combo amplifier is the latest in the acclaimed Katana series. Built with the same premium components and advanced design as the Katana guitar amps, the Katana-110 delivers a wide range of professional bass tones and effects for any playing situation. 60W of power provides rich, full sound through a custom-designed 10" woofer and tweeter, while three unique amp characters—Flat, Vintage and Modern—give bassists a diversity of voices to explore.
Premium Class A/B Power Amp Responds to Your Nuance
At the heart of the Katana-110 is a premium Class-A/B power amp that reacts organically to a player's technique and dynamics. The amp's responsive volume has the fullness of a higher-wattage Class-D amp, allowing bassists to achieve cranked tube-amp tone at lower volumes. A four-band EQ with selectable low mid and high mid frequency points provides flexible tone shaping, while a Blend control mixes in the dry bass signal for enhanced clarity and fatness.
Three Distinct Amp Characters for Any Genre
The Katana-110 features three unique amp characters to suit any bass style. The Flat setting delivers a smooth, dynamic tone with rich harmonics. Vintage provides a classic tube-like voice with rounded, saturated tone. Modern gives a quick, aggressive response perfect for rock and metal. Using BOSS Tone Studio editor software, bassists can further customize each amp character, store the results in the amp's memory, and recall any of the combinations at the tap of a footswitch.
Onboard Effects and Presets for Instant Inspiration
The Katana-110 includes a suite of essential bass effects, including compressor, overdrive, fuzz, octave, modulation, delay, and reverb. Bassists can load up to four effects at once and store custom creations in the amp's onboard memories. Two banks of three presets provide instant access to pro-level sounds for a range of music styles. Via BOSS Tone Studio, it's possible to load presets from world-class bassists and unlock extra effects for a vast tonal playground right out of the box.
Flexible Connectivity for Practice, Recording and Gigging
The Katana-110 is ready to handle any bass playing need, from practice to recording to gigging. Its line out sends a mic'ed amp tone to PA systems, while the effects loop allows patching in other stompboxes and studio gear. A phones/rec out jack provides a direct signal for silent practice and tracking. The Katana-110 can also be connected to BOSS Tone Studio on a Mac or Windows computer for downloading the latest updates, loading custom patches and recording directly to a DAW.

I past the Rumble 25 stage and was looking to upgrade my amp. This Boss Katana 110 has everything I will need. The tone app is pretty cool but a bit complicated at first.

I'm a self taught bassist going on five years, I'm still discovering what this unit is capable of and I like it. I hated to leave my Ampeg behind but this is a step above, it's growing on me each day, with it's rich deep clean tone.
Fits my needs

Does the BOSS Katana-110 60W 1x10 Bass Combo Amp Black have a California Prop 65 Warning on it. I see on the box it does and I was wondering why that is. It could be the box itself with the Styrofoam in the box.

What does the volume knob control exactly? I understand the gain and master volume, but why have another volume control? Is this useful for tone shaping in any way? Cheers
There's an individual 'amp' volume and master volume. The gain is the gain of the 'amp'
