The BOSS MD-500 Modulation features 32-bit/96 kHz AD/DA, deep programmability, and advanced features. It offers musicians unlimited creative capabilities with cutting-edge BOSS technology.

The versatile MD-500 provides 12 modes and 28 different mod effects. Included are BOSS’s famous chorus and Roland’s legendary Dimension D, plus flanger, tremolo, phaser, vibe, slicer, ring mod, and more. Many effect modes include advanced Prime variations newly developed for the MD-500. Simul mode enables using two patches at once, while the Insert Loop function lets the user position mod effects around external pedals for the best sound.

Free editor/librarian software is available for the MD-500, allowing users to edit sounds and organize patches on a computer via USB.

    As another reviewer said, it's super hi fidelity. It has all the mod effects you could want and a couple of bonuses, like a killer faux organ preset. Because it's so transparent, you'll be happiest if you have some analog character added, like a tube amp and a classic guitar sound.

    Brilliant both for what it does and does not do, this is a better stab at all-in-one than Boss's ME series of products. In specializing, it focuses on more of a full range of single type of effect and options and thereby simplifies use, adjustment and configuration. I haven;t really used it out yet; but have easily generated tones that have closely emulated sounds I have previously tried to capture unsuccessfully with comparable products. I'm going to call this a win.

    A very high quality and very intuitive pedal. Amazing utility and a very inspiring pedal to create songs.Overall better than Strymon Mobius.
