Intelligent Noise Detection

The NS-2 features Boss's innovative noise detection circuitry accurately identifies and only removes the unwanted noise from your signal. Flexible Noise Suppression

The NS-2 provides flexible noise suppression controls allowing you to dial in the perfect amount of noise reduction for your setup. The threshold knob lets you adjust the sensitivity of the noise detection circuit. Turn it clockwise for maximum noise suppression or counterclockwise for lighter suppression. Boss NS2 best noise gate I've ever used!

This noise gate is the best noise gate I've ever used. Nobody in the world uses more gain than me. I have a gainy rack pre amp that is very noisy. I also use distortion pedals to push the gain that much further. I owned all kinds of rack noise gates that I had to sell cause they didn't do the trick. This pedal is awesome. I use so much gain that when I'm not playing there's a ton of noise and this pedal eliminates it all. It even has a loop to get rid of your pedal noise too. So I run the output to my pre amp to get rid of that noise and it gets rid of my pedal noise cause of the loop. I can't ask for anything more than that. Don't be fooled. Just because it's not a rack mount noise gate doesn't mean it can't do the job. In fact it can do the job much better and much cheaper!

Waste of money...

Did not work as intended, i still hear noise sound on my guitar to the amp. I use an evolution pickup both the neck and bridge and it's very sensitive, somehow my amp gets extra noise. Bought this expensive NS2 hope it helps to clear that. Yes, it did help but not completely clean sound. This pedal cost $99+ and shouldn't have done the job but it didn't. Call customer service and made complaint, eventually has to return it back. There you have it, worthless piece of pedal.

    I have a 60's model Princeton Reverb amp I am using this pedal with. My amplifier has a lot of background hissing noise. This pedal cut virtually all of that out. You can still faintly hear some noise, but is not noticeable. Product is exactly as advertised.

    This pedal, when used through the effects loop (if you have one) does exactly what its supposed to do. Using it directly into the amp works too but going through the loop is 10 times more effective. I have no complaints.It definitely takes out all the hiss and squeal that a good tube amp makes.

    Does the job. My Mustang was seriously noisy. Even after shield, grounding, etc. This cut the noise down tremendously.

    I've had this pedal for few years now and it's very reliable. Its quality is most noticeable during ambient swells when you use the effects loop. Makes a very clean sound. Just recently bought one for a friend

    Bought this for my bass that made a lot of low end sub sound between songs. It's not normally a problem but the subs at festivals are quite powerful making it very obvious. This cut it right out. Would definitely recommend.

    I use this pedal along with a chorus and a Marshall rig. I have it dialed in to where I can still get my harmonics and have the noise cut. Works great

    Will this help with compressor hiss , I use multiple compressors on my pedalboard and with my wireless Xvive I'm getting a hiss that I wasn't getting as bad before I added the compressors ?

    This could help with it. The actual cause of the sound could be a number of different things. Could be cables, could be the power source itself . I would recommend swapping out the cables and using a different outlet to see if that helps the sound at all.
