The TU-02 Clip-On Tuner from BOSS tunes a variety of instruments with its versatile modes and quick-change design. The easy-to-use tuner features modes for guitar, 4- and 5-string bass and ukulele, as well as chromatic mode for alternate tunings and other stringed instruments. The clip-on tuner supports flat tuning over a range of two semitones and is great for players who like to tune low for a heavier sound. With adjustable calibration from 430Hz to 450Hz, the tuner can be set to a reference other than the default 440Hz standard if needed.

    Bought this because I had many old Snark tuners and most got misplaced, but the only new ones I could find online were the new version that was rechargeable. This sounds nice, but finding chargers is a pain and I find it easier to just keep a handful of batteries in my gear bag. Tried this one as it was battery powered. I'll call it a win as it works well, but the "features" of it to me are unnecessary. I don't care to switch between guitar, bass, ukulele and chromatic mode, and since I play in E flat, the Snark figures this out automatically, and I have to press buttons to do so. That said, once I got it to the right settings, it works perfectly for tuning and is easy to see and read in all light situations.

    i'm playing guitars for a many years, but this was my first clip-on tuner (before i've used electic guitar tuners in a stomp-box format) so i have no complaints regarding this one - it is doing it's thing - tuning is comfotable and precise (tried with acoustic, electric and bass), screen display everything you need clear and easy-to-read way #sweepstakes

    This tuner seems to lock onto the frequency more quickly when I change strings and react faster to turning the tuning pegs, compared to another brand I used previously. I like the large letters and bright screen also, much easier to read in daylight though it might be intrusive in a dark setting. Only minor complaint is that the unit is so small that at first I had trouble turning on/off without pushing the buttons on the opposite side. I figured it out soon enough though.
