Finally, a true bypass Boss tuner!
It's simple, you're paying $50 more than the standard TU-3 for the option of switching between true bypass and buffered bypass. If you play clean, or have a scooped tone, you'll likely appreciate the buffer. It brightens the signal and retains clarity over long cable runs. If you are a midrange classic rock crunch kind of player, you'll likely find that it reduces midrange and messes with important mid frequencies. This is true of pretty much all buffers, and not specific to this Boss. But you're in luck, as you can just set this to true bypass and it passes the signal with no coloration. Using long cables and loosing your clean tone sparkle? No problem, switch the buffer on. Perfect. This feature should be on EVERY pedal. The sweep of the display has blue LED's, with the center "in tune" position being orange. There's a notable variance in brightness between the 2 colors. It seems someone designed this under normal lighting, where it works fine. But when you get the tuner on a dark stage or in bright sunlight (where gigging musicians normally use a tuner), the blue is subtle and the orange pops out like a flashlight being shined in your eye. IMO, they should've stuck with the LEDs the standard TU-3 has. That one just works. It tracks fast, and like any modern tuner it's plenty accurate to tune or intonate a guitar. I like the Boss format, as there are no loud latching switches, and the pad is nice and easy to step on. Silent, soft, and practical. And you can use it to power other pedals with a daisy chain cable if desired. If I could change anything, it'd be the LED's. I'd leave them just like the regular TU-3. These are different, but less functional, IMO. Outside of that, this is a solid tuner. Although a little pricey for the additional features, I think it's worth buying and I've been happy with it. I've attached a video and images of the tuning wavering between "in" and "out" so you can see the intensity variance in the different color LEDs. 1

Not worth it.
I already had a Boss TU-10 clip tuner but I wanted something more acurate so I got the Waza. Exactly the same precision but three times the price. Definitely not worth it.

A classic that has been WAZA-FIED. I know its a boring pedal because it is just a tuner but the feature where you can change from true bypass or buffered bypass is a great thing to add to this pedal.

i recently changed the strings on my fender and it didn't sound the same....mmm I dropped the guitar to be tuned it is 30 years old and changing the original strings was a mistake. getting the guitar back from the guitar doctor i tested the tuner out sure enough i moved the tuners out of tune to test the boss tuner out. and it was easy to use as i tested each string out and the leds light up efficiently to let you know that you are finally tuned. yes! it works efficiently and easy and the other test it is a must when you're doing live work the the puffer thru switch is a plus and the in and out for the dc power. Waza craft tuner is a fine piece in my collection and i don't regret owning it. thanks to Autumn L.F from the Manhattan store for holding it for me when the carl place store is 5 miles from me was sold out. the drive into Manhattan was worth it.
