If You Have a Lot of Cables Being Connected Often, Buy This

I keep one in my emergency gig bag along with some basic tools and a soldering iron. There is another model - the CT-200 - sold by Behringer. Unless you use ethernet and USB cables the CT-200 doesn't appear to have any improvements over the CT-100 and looks like it would be harder to understand the test results. I'm happy I saved a few bucks and bought the CT-100. I solved the "too easy to accidentally get switched on" problem by sticking two little pieces of flexible magnetic strip material on either side of the switch; a little bit of gaff tape would work, too. Some users complained about having to use a screwdriver to remove the battery cover; any player who gigs without a basic set of tools is simply unprepared, but if you insist on going tool-less just take off that screw and hold the cover shut with some gaff tape (but I'd put a couple of AA batteries and a little philips screwdriver in my gig back along with the CT-100 if I were you).

The Behriger CT-100 is a great cable tester... Simple to use and fast... Have used one for years and decided to have one of my own and am not sorry. It is not expensive...
Good, but the manual needs more detail

At the time of this writing I have not used the CT-100 except to check some suspicious cables for shorts and it worked perfectly. And although I did not use them , I checked the tone tester and long length functions which also work perfectly. The CT-100 is an easy to use tester that is great for me.
