My setup is in a large work shop with poor acoustics. These speakers were supposed to replace a pair of older heavy cabinet (48lbs) 15" Behringers. At first listen I knew they lacked a crucial warm mid range and mid bass. I quickly realized these 12" speakers could not offer and should have bought the 15". The cone design makes the usuable portion more like 10" instead of 12". The vocal clarity and highs were the perfect fill-in for the 15" speakers (with 2x18" Behringer subs @ 1100RMS as well). Both mains make a nice balanced sound. The older paper pulp cones have their place in my viewpoint. Running the 12" speakers alone was shallow and lacking in comparision. But very clear. They have their place. I bought them for the big Ti tweeters. Using an A/B 165watt mixer amp, instead of class D amp (mega watts). Helps keep some warmth to the tone. Overall the little 12" speakers have been great over the years (since they came out 3-4yrs ago?). They absolutely deliver! Loud and clear. Nice highs- still happy. I may get another pair but am itching for something high end like QSC. HUGE price difference of course. Recommond to get the 15" if you expect any bass or mid range warmth. For the price I'm not sure anyone else offers Titanium 1.4" tweeters. With all 6 speakers running hard the sound is huge even with just 2500RMS watts. If you need CLEAR and CRISP sound these little 12's are amazing. At least in my viewpoint coming from a long history of car and home audio experience and informal show room listenings at Guitar Center of higher end speakers. More than few compliments over the years at my shop. Lots of equalization will make them sing. I've yet to trip or blow the tweeters (my ears can't take it). Still waiting for Behringer to offer me a job! I really like their speakers in the 13yrs I've owned their equipment. Cheers and just get a pair! - Would give 5 stars if the LF driver had more surface area. Looks like a 10" speaker to me. Great bargain!

26 lbs. That's about all the heaviest I want to lift onto a tripod stand.

  • Works great with my guitar amp.

Approaching the age of 66 - my previous speakers were 11 pounds more than double the weight of these Behringers. Understandably my levitational powers are past their prime. Given that I mainly need them for small venues playing solo, I sacrificed 15" for 12" - given that I only play with acoustic guitar and vocals through TC-H VoiceLive 2 and Behringer NU1000DSP. (Both from Guitar Center) A perfect purchase - I can carry one in my hand and tuck the other one under same arm - leaving left hand free for more gear. Understandably, missing a bit of low end but easy to compensate with EQ. With the trade in I got for my old speakers, and the sale price of the new ones, I have to say that once again, I am very happy with Guitar Center. Life is soooo much easier and my left shoulder is finally starting to heal :)
