Heavy Hits, Fair Price.
I bought 2 of these and so far they've been excellent. For what I paid for them I would have to say that these are definitely worth it. If you want a little extra tightness in sound go with Mackie but overall compared to the JBL's these are better just because they are cheaper. I was Barely pushing these speakers and they filled a good sized room up.

I used them at a small club I played at for about 2 years. I left them there because they're too darn heavy. Why arre they too darn heavy? How about I have my pair of B215 D's for 10 years! The first Berringer speakers I ever bought I am still using. I kind of can't wait for them to blow out so I can buy the new lighter ones. These are 52 lbs each. Now that I'm a mobile DJ I have a back up pair of JBL's I take with me just in case but they're still going strong. Haven't needed a sub for them as the sound is amazing.

I bought one of these to use in place of a keyboard amp I had that had a Black Widow speaker in it. I was quite skeptical but thought it would be worth a try..... All I can say is...WOW! I run two keyboards through a small mixer and the mixer into this and the sound is phenomenal. No distortion, and plenty of volume for any gig I've thrown at it. When I was looking at it in the store, I compared it to Yamaha, Mackie and EV, it sounded just as full if not better than they all did. I would definitely recommend this speaker looking for a quality unit at a great price.
Speaker works great. We use this as a floor monitor.

We use this as a floor monitor and as a portable speaker when away from our church. It works great for both though as a floor monitor it is large and takes up valuable space in our limited band area.

These are rubbish!! Dont get me wrong, Behringer makes very good sound equipment but these, they cut corners to slice the price. bought a pair of these and right away the horn driver on one speaker went out. they lack a protection circuit and pack 1000 watts into these without an external output, simply ridiculous, anyway i replaced it. and on a gig it went out again on the other one. I took these back and they gladly gave my money back. I ordered the pv 115d's and omg amazing crisp sound quality, large driver diaphragm, DDT protection, chest thumping bass, and the bonus passive speaker output (perfect for the PV 118) since these only need 400W and they sport an 800w amp which is really a lovely feature. 3 years of playing them around in gigs and they still sound as good as when i took them out the box. long story short, these behringer are good for a small band for vocals, or just public adress. but for music? forget it. in the same price range skip these and go with the PV115D.

would these suffice for a party of 100 in a medium sized hall?
It should be alright, depending on what you're looking to do with it. If you're having a band playing it may be a bit underpowered, but for speaking type events, it should work great.submitted6 years ago
