Behringer

collapse expand iconDescription

The Behringer EUROPOWER EP4000 is a professional-grade stereo power amplifier packing enough juice to rattle your bones. Designed for massive live sound reinforcement, its dual channels each pump out a thunderous 2,000W of peak power into 2-ohm loads—more than enough to drive full-size PA rigs to face-melting levels. With the Behringer EUROPOWER EP4000 amplifier, you get earth-shaking volume and pristine sonic precision.

Massive 2,000W Peak Power Delivers Thunderous Volume

Packing high-current output transistors and a beefy toroidal transformer, the Behringer EP4000 delivers up to 2,000W of peak power per channel into 2-ohm loads. Connect it to large-format speaker arrays and you'll have all the amplification you need to fill stadiums, arenas and festival grounds with powerful, room-filling sound. The EP4000 puts out 1,400W per channel into 4 ohms as well—ideal for powering full-range mains and monitors. And running in bridge mode, it delivers a monstrous 4,000W into 4 ohms, enough for massive subwoofer arrays.

Accelerated Transient Response Ensures Punchy, Articulate Sound

Behringer's proprietary ATR technology gives the EUROPOWER EP4000 exceptional sonic clarity and detail. By improving the amplifier's slew rate and damping factor, ATR results in precise, punchy bass, articulate mids and shimmering highs. Snare hits snap with authority, guitar tones bite and cymbals shimmer with realistic decay. Vocals and lead instruments shine through the mix. Even at extremely high volumes, your sound stays clean and free of distortion thanks to ATR.

Low-Frequency Filters Remove Unwanted Bass

Unruly sub-bass frequencies can muddy up a mix and strain speaker cones. The EUROPOWER EP4000 lets you filter out excessive low end with adjustable high-pass filters on each channel. Set the filters anywhere from 10Hz–400Hz to remove sub-sonic rumble and tighten up low end. It's a great way to optimize your rig for the room without compromising headroom and dynamics.

I have a classic rock band and since we purchased the Yamaha 2 x 18 cabs I thought they were lacking in punch. It turns out after we purchased the EP 4000 they came alive. We had the kick drum punch we were looking for.We have only used the EP 4000 once but I am way impressed. The price versus the power is unmatched in any amp I have seen.I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought two of these to run a set of 2 X 18, 3000 watt subs. I was very skeptical of the name but was willing to give them a try. After all if they petered out I would bring them back and use the return policy, and buy Crown or QSC... Well I bridged the amps at 4 ohms, (4000 watts),and let them go....WOW what a pleasant surprise. They have preformed so well I have added two Europower 2500's to run my tops. These amps rock...never a problem and not any worries. The only down side is they are heavy but that is an age old problem....I got twice the power for half the cash! NO problems here...

I Bought four of these bad boys for my rental pa's. At the price who could go wrong? Typically I use strictly Crown Macro or Mackie FR amps on low end. Let me tell you the Behringer EP 4000's Stood up to the test! After hours of constant chest pounding bass (4ohm briged) they sound good and have lasted over a year on the road in smoke filled clubs without maintanence or issue. The ONLY problems I have EVER had was from user issue. BUY THESE, WONT LET YOU DOWN!!!

The affordable price of this amp in no way means that this amp is "cheap". I only have 8 hours on the amp so far however one of those events had this thing pumping for 5 hours. The air blowing out stayed nice and cool and the case didn't feel too warm by the end of the night. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't logged high hours on it yet, the plastic channel knobs do not seem very durable and it is heavy. All in all I am very happy with this amp and reccommend it to anyone on a budget (or not on a tight budget). I have no doubt it will perform well every time.
