Dial in Legendary Tube Tone With the 12AX7 Vacuum Tube

At the heart of the MIC500USB is a 12AX7 vacuum tube that imparts the warmth, presence and subtle compression that defined classic recordings. The specially selected tube captures the highly desirable sonic qualities of vintage tube preamps with exceptionally low noise. Whether you're tracking instruments or vocals in the studio or amplifying mics for the stage, the 12AX7 brings out the best in any sound source.

Access 16 Versatile Preamp Voicings for any Application

A preamp is only as good as its voicings and the MIC500USB delivers with 16 distinct options to choose from. It's pre-loaded with voicings ideal for standard instruments like guitar, bass and keyboards, as well as percussion, vocals and more. Options include a neutral setting for transparent tone shaping, as well as voicings like Warm and Warm + Limiter that let you add tube compression and analog-style saturation. Having so many voicings at your fingertips makes it easy to customize your tone.

Record Directly to Your Computer Thanks to the Built-In USB Interface

The MIC500USB eliminates the need for extra equipment with its convenient built-in USB audio interface. Simply connect it directly to your PC or Mac using the included USB cable. The MIC500USB handles both audio and power over USB, providing seamless integration for recording into your DAW. Try using it as a guitar preamp connected to a amp - tube or ss. It makes a great noise generator.

No On-Off switch is a negative. A power strip with an On-Off switch is an OK substitute. Let the tube warm up. Has decent sound for an inexpensive unit.
