Description
The Behringer Ultrapatch Pro PX3000 provides 48 balanced 1/4" TRS connection points to route your audio signals. With its ample patching capabilities, you can connect up to 24 stereo or 48 mono devices. The PX3000 features high-quality TRS jacks that keep your system free of noise and hum by providing a balanced signal path.
Route Signals Easily With Three Operation Modes
This patchbay offers exceptional flexibility with its 3 switchable operation modes. In Normal mode, the rear jacks are interconnected, letting you interrupt that connection by plugging into the front jacks. Half Normal mode also interconnects the rear jacks, while plugging into the lower front jack interrupts the rear connection. In Thru mode, each rear jack is connected to its corresponding front jack for direct pass-through. With the mode select switches conveniently located on top, you can change modes instantly without disconnecting cables or removing the unit.
Clean, Balanced Signal Transfer
The PX3000 utilizes high-quality TRS jacks to maintain a balanced signal path, resulting in pristine audio transfer free of noise and AC hum. The balanced connectors ensure your patchbay performs reliably in a variety of live sound and studio situations, keeping your audio signal clear.
Rackmount Design Saves Space
With its 1U rackmount form factor, the Ultrapatch Pro PX3000 can be easily installed in a standard 19" rack. This space-saving design keeps your studio or stage rack neat and organized. The PX3000 provides versatile patching capabilities without taking up excessive real estate.

This is my second Behringer patch bay. The first finally started failing after about 11 years. I have a small home studio and I'm constantly moving the patches around as I hook up different items. The front 1/4" inputs started getting loose, from all the moving. I purchased another one because of the switches on top - easiest way to control the lines! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has to change inputs, as I do.

Normally not a big Behringer fan but this one is fine! I have had patchbays from many manufacturers and I really like these. They are fully shielded and support all three configurations. Plus you don't have to take the cards apart, just use the switches. Yeah, this adds another (probably not the best) switch in line. But think how many contacts are already in the path! Plus hey, you have already decided to put a patch bay with yet another patch cord in the mix... Much better than the DBX ones and cheaper!

Quality of the Behringer PX3000 Ultrapatch Pro Patchbay is first class all the way. Firm solid connectors, excellent fit and finish. Bought this a couple of weeks age and have installed it in my home studio. Really helps simplify the interconnection of my audio equipment, processors, effects and mixers. Once you understand how to use this patchbay you will wonder how you ever got along without it.

If this is put into a rack, and the switches are on top, does that mean this needs to go on the top or have an extra space above it to reach the switches?
It appears that you can put this lower down on the rack, but you would have to either remove this unit or the one above it if you need to get to the switches. If you won't be having to switch them you should be alright.
