The Behringer SD8 stage box puts the renowned Midas sound right at your fingertips. This compact 8-channel stage box packs eight Midas-designed mic preamps to capture your vocals, guitars and drums with pristine clarity and richness. Networking is blazing fast thanks to dual AES50 ports featuring Klark Teknik protocol, sending up to eight channels of 24-bit digital audio to your console or DAW with ultralow latency. The SD8 serves up eight balanced XLR outputs to feed your FOH mixer or monitor rig with outstanding resolution and headroom.

Dial In Your Sound With Eight Midas Mic Preamps

The SD8's eight Midas-designed mic preamps deliver the exceptional transparency and accuracy that have made Midas a legend among audio engineers for decades. Whether you're miking up a drum kit on stage or tracking acoustic guitars in the studio, the SD8 captures every subtle nuance and texture. The ultralow noise floor preserves the integrity of your signal, while up to 60dB of smooth, musically-rich gain lets you optimize levels for any microphone or instrument.

Move Audio Lightning Fast With AES50 Networking

Outfitted with dual AES50 ports, the SD8 integrates seamlessly into digital mixing setups. The Klark Teknik SuperMAC protocol sends up to 8 channels of 24-bit digital audio to your mixer or DAW with imperceptible latency of less than 1 ms. You get a pristine, lightning-fast interface between your mics/instruments and the rest of your rig. AES50's shielded Cat5e cable also provides networking up to 100m away from the stage box.

Feed FOH or Monitors With Eight Balanced XLR Outs

The SD8 puts eight balanced, servo-driven XLR outputs under your control to feed your FOH mixer or monitor rig. You get ample headroom and crystal-clear resolution even at long cable runs, thanks to the SD8's internal digital conversion. The outputs are DC-coupled as well so you can utilize them to send control voltages to analog synthesizers or other external gear.

Plug In Mics, Instruments and More

Each of the SD8's six combo jacks accepts XLR mic cables or 1/4" TRS line connections, making them ideal for miking vocals, acoustic guitars, drums and keyboards. +48V phantom power lets you use condenser mics for brilliant high-end response. The two 1/4" Hi-Z inputs have ultra high-impedance for pristine D.I. tone from guitars, basses and other instruments. With its versatile I/O options, the rugged SD8 is ready to capture your band's live sound or studio recordings with exceptional quality.

Use it to add 8 channels to my X32 Rack mixer. I mounted it in my rack backwards so all of the inputs and outputs for my rig are on the same side. Works like it should. I wish they weren't so pricey though..

Rugged, easy to use, and convenient. Do yourself a favor and get Ethercon cables, not just CAT 5. They will hold up better.
