The Behringer Truth B2031A is an impressive powered studio monitor designed to provide an honest, accurate representation of your mixes. With its bi-amped configuration putting out a total of 265W of power, the B2031A delivers an ultra-linear frequency response from 50 Hz to 21 kHz so you hear every subtle nuance in your recordings.

Hear the Truth With a Long-Throw 8.75" Woofer

The B2031A's long-throw 8.75" polypropylene-diaphragm woofer reproduces smooth, deep bass without exaggeration down to 50 Hz, giving you rock-solid low end. Whether it's the sound of fingers sliding on guitar strings or the rumble of a pipe organ, you'll feel the bass as much as you hear it. The woofer brings out all the subtle details so you can make mixing decisions with confidence.

Reveal Crisp Highs With a 1" Ferrofluid-Cooled Dome Tweeter

Up top, the B2031A's 1" ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter adds pristine high-frequency detail to complete the full-range studio monitor sound. The ferrofluid cooling lets the tweeter handle more power without distortion so those critical highs stay smooth and fatigue-free during long mixing sessions. Your ears will thank you.

Hear the Sweet Spot From Anywhere With Waveguide Technology

Proprietary waveguide technology gives the B2031A an extremely broad "sweet spot" so you don't have to be confined to one tiny listening position to hear the optimal sound. Move freely about the room and still hear a balanced stereo image with excellent dispersion. Waveguide technology also eliminates harsh high-mid and treble content that leads to listening fatigue.

Adapt the Sound to Your Room With Compensation Switches

Tailor the bass response to your room's acoustics using the rear-panel compensation switches. Cut the lows if placing near a wall or boost them when positioning away from boundaries. The auto power saving feature automatically switches the B2031A to standby mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. No more accidentally draining batteries if you forget to power down. Audio signals instantly wake it back up so you don't miss a beat. The B2031A is equipped with both 1/4" TRS and XLR inputs to connect to just about any audio source in your studio workspace. The compact design allows placement near other equipment without interference.

I first encountered these monitors in college at a friends off campus digs. Both of us being broke music majors, these came in very handy. He was using his pair to drive his Technic 1200's. I was actually blown away by the sound clarity they offered. When I got my pair (which I still use till this day) they were setup for home recording. I have used Genelecs, Roland and of course Mackie over the years and I realize that these aren't in the same class as the high end stuff, but if you're in need of some monitors and can't afford the others, this is a great investment . I'm saying that you can mix down a commercial album with these, but these should suffice until you start making some dough off of your craft.

I've heard Dynaudio, Mackie's, JBL's, and the KRK's and they all sound great but they weren't in my budget to build my home studio so I had to do the next best thing, find a monitor that sounds great but without the high cost of the other high end studio monitors, Truth B2031A's was my answer. you can't go wrong here, they have an awesome warranty (which helps), and they sound awesome. I know people give Behringer a hard time about the quality of their product but i have and so have many others that come by my studio been impressed by how these monitor's perform. The name speaks for itself "Truth"

I'm slowly building my home studio but don't have the big $$ to work with, so I've been researching the products where I can get the best bang for the buck. The B2031A's are definitely one of those finds. I had been using these small edirol monitors which I thought were pretty decent for the size and price, but the B2031A's really opened my ears to much more that I hadn't heard in the mixes before. The room customizations on the back are great as well as the overall build. The mix's I've produced with these have been pretty accurate and to my liking so I guess they are doing it's job. I can't say I've compared them to the high end, super expensive monitors but if you're on a budget and want quality, here it is.
