The interface enables zero-latency direct monitoring so you can hear yourself without delay while tracking vocals or instruments. Inserts allow you to incorporate external effects like EQs and compressors into your signal chain. The UMC202HD comes bundled with Tracktion recording software and over 150 instrument and effect plug-ins. With plug-and-play USB connectivity, the interface is easy to use with your computer. Getting amazing sound has never been this accessible.
Built-in Midas Preamps Provide Pristine Audio Quality
The U-PHORIA UMC202HD features Midas-designed mic preamps that add warmth and clarity to your recordings. The preamps deliver a clean gain boost to microphone and instrument signals, capturing intricate details other interfaces may miss. Vocals will have rich presence, while acoustic guitars resonate with realistic ambience. Whether you're recording podcasts, music demos or mixing tracks, the Midas preamps ensure your audio sounds its very best.
196kHz/24-bit Resolution Captures Every Nuance
With up to 192kHz/24-bit resolution, the UMC202HD provides exceptional accuracy for critical listening applications. The high-res conversion preserves the subtle nuances in your performances that get lost with lower-quality AD/DA. As a result, your recordings and mixes translate with exceptional clarity and detail. The pristine conversion gives you confidence that your audio interface won't be the weak link.
Zero-Latency Monitoring Eliminates Distracting Delay
The U-PHORIA UMC202HD's zero-latency monitoring lets you hear your inputs with no distracting delay or lag. Monitoring your voice or instrument without latency allows you to perform naturally and capture better takes. The direct monitoring delivers your unprocessed signal to your headphones mix so you can evaluate your true sound. Whether tracking audio or playing live, zero-latency monitoring keeps you focused.
Inserts for Adding External Effects Like EQ and Compression
The interface provides two analog insert points for incorporating external effects units like compressors, EQs and gates into your signal chain. The inserts give you the flexibility to customize your sound by patching in your favorite analog processing gear. Shape your tone with EQs, add punch with compressors and tighten up tracks with gates. With the U-PHORIA UMC202HD's inserts, you can craft your ideal sound.
Comes With Tracktion Recording Software and Plug-ins
Your purchase includes Tracktion recording and editing software, an intuitive DAW perfect for crafting professional productions. It comes packed with over 150 instrument and effect plug-ins covering dynamics, EQs, reverbs and more. Capture ideas quickly with Tracktion's single-screen interface. The included software provides all the tools you need to make release-ready recordings.
USB Connectivity for Plug-and-Play Use With Computers

Great guitar for home recording and people on a budget

Great interface. Just haven't heard from anybody to download my free TRACKTION program. No phone numbers for anybody to talk to customer service.
I should have waited and spent a little more.

Latency through windows was pretty bad. Manual is too basic, doesn't cover details of how to set up PC for Good performance. Product registration is much more difficult than it needs to be. It's been over w week, and I still haven't received license codes for promised software. I bought this one because it was so much cheaper than IK AXE I/O just w week before IK launched their vendor deal. I'm starting to regret trying to save some cash.

Better than 4 over audio interfaces all of which cost a lot more.

I LOVE THIS INTERFACE! I bought this to replace another popular interface that failed on me. The unnamed interface is in a more expensive price bracket and failed on me. While I haven't had a ton of time with this interface, I think the value for money is unmatched. It works great, my recordings sound great, and the preamp is wonderful! Even the preamp is better than the more expensive interface that busted on me. I will say that while it feels solidly built, it's not very heavy - I guess I'm throwing this in here in case people are expecting this to feel like a brick. I will say that I did accidentally drop this a short distance (about a foot) onto a hard surface. It still fired up and sounded as it should so I can say confidently that it has some sturdiness to it.
It's cheap, but it doesn't sound cheap.

I gave it five stars because of the sheer "bang for the buck." I've been using an Apogee Duet 2 for 9 years and it sounds better than the UMC202HD but it DOES NOT sound $535.00 dollars better. Buy the UMC202HD and put the money you save towards a nice mic.
Been good for us.

We have used this now for about 1 year, including a session with one of the college instructors at my son's school for music recording. Primary use as been a home studio. In short, it has been a good performer for us. We have an entry level mic ($60-70), and a digital piano run through it, have used it for signal to Audacity, Pro Tools, and as the pass through to a set of JVC speakers. On and older cheaper PC we had some distortion issues in signal sent from the PC to the monitoring headphones but that vanished entirely with a newer PC with decent RAM. The playback to the speakers is a bit soft, but that may not be the interfaces fault. Leveling control has been excellent. For the price we have been very happy. Knobs and hardware has held up well.
