Description
The Behringer Ultra-DI DI100 direct box delivers your instrument or mic signal to the mixing console cleanly and quietly. Designed for guitarists, bassists and vocalists, the DI100's extremely flat frequency response and ultralow noise floor ensure your tone reaches the PA or recording interface noise-free and balanced. With the DI100's flexible XLR and 1⁄4" connectivity, you can plug in your instrument, amp or mic and send a balanced signal to the sound engineer hassle-free.
Eliminate Noise and Hum With Advanced Circuitry
The DI100 uses advanced circuitry and transformers to filter noise and crosstalk, giving you a pristine signal sent to the PA or interface. The ultrawide 10Hz–90kHz frequency response captures every nuance of your tone accurately. Set the DI100's -20dB or -40dB pads to handle hot outputs from basses, synths and acoustic guitars without overload or distortion. The ground lift instantly solves ground loop hum issues.
Connect Your Way With XLR and 1/4" I/O
The DI100 accommodates both XLR and 1/4" connections for maximum flexibility. Plug your instrument straight into the 1⁄4" input or send your amp's line out to the DI100. Vocalists can connect their mic via XLR, while the thru outputs let you send your signal to your amp or monitors. The DI100 seamlessly integrates into your live or studio rig. Set up is hassle-free, letting you focus on your performance. The link out 1⁄4" jack feeds your signal to additional DI boxes as needed.

Good Product So Far

It does its job and I have no issues with it. When I record I use both the DI and a mic'd amp. I usually use the DI recording with just a touch of the mic'd amp and it gives me a sound that I like. I would purchase again if I had to

Good solid product. I have been using these direct boxes for 7 plus years. It is great for musicians too because they can link their amp to their to the direct box which allows them to hear themselves while playing. The 9 volt battery has a huge battery life too. Volt
This is my second one

I already used one for DI recording scratch guitar. It worked well enough that this one will be for a piano DI into the PA for performing.

I am not ordinarily a fan of Behringer products, but this one is a big exception. I have been the sound guy for two active local bands. We have 5 of these and use them for live shows 40 to 50 gigs a year. We are NOT gentle with them and I have never had a failure. It has TWO -20db attenuators, a ground lift, two ̴_ۡݕ_ plugs (so you can link to a local amp) and even an XLR input and output plus it is active (uses battery or phantom power) I cannot think of anything else you could ask for in a DI.
Great DI

I work for the audio department at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. We own 10 of these DI's and use them HEAVILY (2-4) times per week - year round. I've read some complaints about failure, but in four years, we haven't had a single problem with any of them. One of our reps actually hooked all the DI's he sells to a scope and the Behringer beat out many of the higher priced Whirlwinds and Radials in terms of frequency accuracy (I know that doesn't necessarily translate into fidelity). Now, if your doing a priceless recording and need pristine audio quality, then I'd go with something in a higher price range. But if your doing live work, you really can't beat this DI.
