Description
The Behringer ULTRA-DI DI400P direct box lets you get pure, noise-free sound from your instrument or amplifier to the mixing board. With the Behringer DI400P passive D.I. box, you can connect unbalanced signals and convert them to balanced outputs, eliminating unwanted noise in the process. This single-channel direct box features a high-performance transformer that allows you to use very long cables without losing those critical high frequencies.
Transfer Signals Without Loss
The Behringer ULTRA-DI DI400P utilizes a high-quality transformer that enables you to send signals over extended cable runs without degrading the sound quality. The top-notch transformer maintains your tone by accurately transferring the instrument's full-frequency range to the mixer or recording interface with precision and clarity. You get pristine reproduction of every subtle nuance.
Eliminate Annoying Noise
Hum and buzz can ruin your best takes. The ULTRA-DI DI400P's ground lift switch blocks ground loop noise by isolating the audio ground from the chassis ground. Flick it on and those irksome hums immediately vanish, leaving you with nothing but pure signal.
Flexible Connectivity Options With XLR and 1/4" Outputs
The Behringer ULTRA-DI DI400P equipped with both XLR and 1/4" outputs gives you flexible connectivity. Use the low-noise XLR output to send your signal to the mixing console or audio interface. The parallel 1/4" jack lets you plug in effects pedals or amps. With both balanced and unbalanced outputs, you have all your options covered.

This is a good entry level DI box. Easy to use and sounds good. Not really made for tour since it has a lot of plastic. However, I still recommend this as an entry level product.

Great price and they work great! Too early to tell how durable they are, but I don't gig that often, so that should't be a big issue.

I use this in live performance on instruments, keyboards/acoustic guitars. Not one issue and no noticeable drops in level. Built heavy duty just like my whirlwind so I'm expecting it to have a long life as well.

I'm trying to direct input my guitar into my Scarlett 2i2 (into Cubase 11 Artist) but when I do and have it set to "instrument", the level "red rings" instantly on the 2i2 and I have massive cut out on what I hear through the headphones or what was recorded. The best way to describe the sound I'm getting would be the same as if I had a bad guitar cord - but I've checked the cords. After research, I've read that I need a DI box. I'm close to the point of just using a mic on the amp, but I'd still like to DI the guitar if possible. Secondly, I have an 8 channel mixer for my drum kit. From what I understand, I will need to use both inputs of the 2i2 from the mixer. If that's the case, will I need 2 of these DI boxes? Thanks.
