Description
The Behringer ULTRA-G GI100 lets you bypass miking guitar amps for recording, instead sending your tone directly to the interface with the feel of playing through a real 4x12 cab. The ULTRA-G GI100 recreates the sound of miked guitar speakers with its highly realistic impulse responses, making direct recording easier while retaining the dynamic feel that makes playing through amps so enjoyable. For guitarists who want studio-grade direct tones without sacrificing live amp feel and feedback, the Behringer ULTRA-G GI100 is an indispensable tool.
Realistic Speaker Emulation for Direct Recording
The Behringer ULTRA-G GI100 lets you bypass miking your guitar amp, instead sending the amp's output directly into your interface or mixer while retaining the dynamic feel of playing through speakers. Its highly advanced impulse responses accurately emulate the sound of miked guitar cabinets, from vintage classics to modern high-gain stacks. That means you can record ready-to-mix guitar tones at home or on the stage, without compromising the interactive experience that comes from speaker feedback.
Flexible Gain Structure Matches any Guitar and Interface
With its variable input attenuation pads and selectable output gain levels, the ULTRA-G GI100 expertly handles any guitar output level while matching the impedance requirements of any mixer or interface. The -20dB and -40dB pads ensure that even the hottest guitar pickups won't overload your equipment. When using passive pickups or recording at hotter input levels, the GI100's +15dB and +30dB output gain settings prevent weak signals. The ULTRA-G GI100 gives you ideal gain staging between guitar and interface, delivering optimal resolution and headroom for any recording or live scenario.
Ground Lift Defeats Hum From Ground Loops
When connecting guitars, amps and other equipment, ground loops can induce frustrating hum, buzz and interference. The Behringer ULTRA-G GI100 solves this with its ground lift switch, which disconnects the ground connection between devices. Now you can eliminate that unwanted noise and focus on your guitar tone. The GI100's ground lift makes your signal path noise-free, letting your skill shine through in recordings and live performances.

I have one of these and it works great. You can plug it into an PA system without an external power cord. It sounds very good and does not diminish the sound of your instrument. If you are on a budget and need to get a good inexpensive and cool looking direct box, this is it. I plug my acoustic guitar and bass into it. Haven't plugged my electrics into it.
Can't live without it.

This little box gives me everything i need. I don't have to worry about lugging a cab around. It sounds great through any sound system. The cab simulator sounds to good to be true and the price is just right. It has two -20 pads, but i never use them. I recommend this product to any musician who needs a great sound without lugging a ton of gear.

This box saves me money and my back. I don't have to carry around an amp and stacks. I just plug my favorite pedals, route the D.i. into the sound system and it sounds just like a stack. It sounds to good to be true. No more heavy lifting. I did notice that it stopped working within a couple years, but at this price, i can buy a dozen. No guitar player should be without it.(Unless he can afford a mesa boogie duel rectifier) I'd hire a roadie to haul it for me.

Would this work with a combo amp. The orange amp has two speaker outs. One goes to the combo cabinet. Can I use the other to go to the box with running back to the speaker from the DI box?
No, this can't handle a speaker output.
