The Behringer ULTRACURVE PRO DEQ2496 brings immense power to mastering and live sound applications. With four concurrently selectable EQ modules—including 31-band graphic, 10-band parametric, Feedback Destroyer and three dynamic EQs per channel—you can sculpt any tone with surgical precision. Balanced XLR and AES/EBU connectivity ensure noise-free operation in professional settings.

Shape Your Sound With Four Powerful EQ Modules

At the heart of the ULTRACURVE PRO DEQ2496 are four flexible EQ modules to refine your tone. The 31-band graphic EQ delivers fine control over the frequency spectrum. The 10-band parametric EQ lets you tune specific ranges with adjustable Q bandwidth. The Feedback Destroyer eliminates problematic feedback frequencies. While the triple Dynamic EQs provide compression and expansion based on frequency, for dynamic sculpting. With so much versatility, you can create any tonal palette imaginable.

Analyze in Real-Time With Integrated RTA

Visualizing your EQ curve is easy with the integrated 61-band real-time analyzer. See problem resonances and feedback in an instant. Watch how adjustments impact your frequency response and ensure consistent tone between performances. The RTA provides an intuitive graphical interface, for quick and accurate equalization.

Hear More Detail With 24-bit/96kHz Processing

To preserve audio fidelity, the DEQ2496 employs 24-bit converters with a 96kHz sampling rate. This ultrahigh resolution captures subtle nuances and delivers exceptional dynamic range. Precision filters and algorithms operate in the digital domain, for smooth, artifact-free processing. Experience your sound as it was meant to be heard, without harsh digital edge.

Tour-Grade Connectivity for any Application

Equipped with XLR and AES/EBU digital connectivity, the ULTRACURVE PRO DEQ2496 integrates seamlessly into professional studio and live rigs. Balanced inputs reject interference, while servo-balanced outputs ensure noise-free signal transmission. With comprehensive metering, preset storage and MIDI control, the ULTRACURVE PRO DEQ2496 puts immense processing power right at your fingertips.

  • Do not buy the DEQ 2496

I've purchased three DEQ 2496s over the last ten years. All of them have failed. Apparently, the units are made from cheap parts so, after sometime the power supply burns up. The cost to repair the machine is far more than buying a new one. Plus, the machine adds a lot of noise to the signal. I suppose that is an indication of the power supply going bad. It only took my three failed DEQ2496s and ten years to confirm.

24Bit/96k makes this a win-win for Live and Studio uses. LIVE: The versatility, savable settings, and layering of settings makes this a strong EQ in a live setting. Savable settings makes it a real time saver in repeating a venue. STUDIO: We use this to create EQ settings to match our studio monitors to produce a consistently accurate sound when we master. It makes it easier to compensate for transient sounds that can can sneak into a final recording and prevent end listeners from getting a degraded sound. WISHES: -1- No one I believe has done this yet, but it would be a great thing to tandem this unit with a live ringout of a venue to get problem frequencies tamed likity split and then save those settings. There are EQ VST's out there that do this, but this would save the extra routing and work. -2- Control the unit via a DAW or control surface in a live setting.

It worked but not out of the box. Had to re-seat a chip in a socket. But really sounds phenominal and is extremely powerful for the little cash it costs. had it up hours and hours and no problems. manual could be better written but you will understand the unit after playing with it.

This piece is great; So much control at that price canۡt be beat. Adding another one to the system was easy and was able to back up all the data with the Midi OX software. Easy to transfer files from one to another. A real time saver.

I purchased this unit for the RTA feature. I used the Behringer ECM8000 mic and the difference it made in my studio monitor (M-Audio MX8As) sound quality is amazing. Listening to commercial songs with the unit on versus bypassed is like night and day. It's helped me immeasurably in mixing in Protools and I couldn't imagine life without it now. Owner's manual is ok but it doesn't really give you a lot of step-by-step instructions on how to do things. But the page menus in the unit are pretty good and intuitive. Overall, great product and very versatile!

The many features are all very usefull. By far the most valuable is the RTA. You see what you are doing to the sound, that allows you to learn quickly what are the cause and effects of your manipulation of the graphic or parametric EQ. An other important feature is the meter when used with the calibration mic., allows you to monitor and quantitize the sound pressure during the performance. No more guess work on how loud you are playing. There nothing else that comes close, even for more money, it's an invaluable tool. Get it.
