Description
The Behringer UM300 Ultra Metal distortion guitar effects pedal unleashes the most extreme metal tones imaginable. With the UM300's highly adjustable distortion and virtually endless sustain, you can achieve everything from aggressive traditional metal to bone-crunching mayhem. The Ultra Metal distortion pedal equips you to micromanage your mids—the key to dialing in the perfect heavy metal tone.
Shape Your Mids With up to 15dB of Boost/Cut
A crucial yet often overlooked factor in heavy metal tone is the midrange. The UM300 gives you precise control with its dedicated Mid Frequency knob, letting you target a specific mid freq between 200Hz and 5kHz, and cut or boost it by up to 15dB. This allows you to thicken up the mids for a dense, tubelike distortion—excellent for traditional metal styles. Or scoop the mids for a more modern metal tone. Either way, the UM300 provides the tools to meticulously sculpt your midrange to perfection.
High and Low Knobs for Complete Tonal Control
The UM300 doesn't stop at the mids—it also provides High and Low knobs so you can shape the top and bottom end to your liking. Roll off the Lows for a tight, focused metal tone. Or, boost the Highs to add sizzle and bite to your distortion. Between the Mid Frequency, High and Low controls, you have immense tonal flexibility to craft your ideal heavy metal tone.

Good buy... Kinda.
It's an alright pedal, but mine broke frequently and had to be fixed 5 times. (certain wires had to be resoldered all five times)

Boss buys its circuitry from Behringer. So if you want to buy something that boss makes but for half its price then go with Behringer.

Hello! I am a beginner, never bought a pedal before, but I am very interested in this one. I was wondering do I need another cable to connect this pedal to my amp? And if so what kind? Do y'all sell them? Thank you!
1) Yes, you will. 2) Check out 'Livewire Advantage Instrument Cable'. Use the shortest length cables you can get away with.submitted5 years ago
