A Welcomed Entry
An excellent digital mixer for midi control of your DAW. Overall use reminds me of the SSL Nucleus, but there are notable differences. As a midi controller, though you can't get better for the price. It took me about 15 minutes to install updates and get rolling, but once you get going, there are no issues. The one drawback is that I work with Reason and from my experience, the firmware runs much more directly with Logic. That said, that's a minor drawback for me, as it's very easy to re-label the buttons (with some masking tape), and where absolutely necessary, you can reassign individual buttons through Reasons keymap override feature. In all, I only had to do this for a few key features I definitely wanted on the mixer. So far, though, this is the best digital mixer I've used in this price range. Behringer hits the nail on the head with this one.

Glitchy, useless junk
I got this controller as an early Christmas present from my wife. The happiness ended as soon as I plugged in. The unit would not sync up to Reaper. I called Behringer, and found that they don't bother to pretend to answer phones. I call tech support at Sweetwater. They made a valiant effort, but the unit will not control automation, keeps my mikes hot even when I turn off recording tracks for them. goes to unrelated parts of the software from its control. It's little more that a fancy volume control. Behringer support is from a secondary source and is quite useless. I regret that I have to give them one star, I don't feel they have earned that. I have a lot of Behringer equipment and have trusted them for years, but this tears it. I don't understand how a company can deliver such junk and sell themselves as responsible. This unit is a total waste of time and money.

I would give it 5 stars, except the manual is terrible. Behringer's website was no help. I had to find a third-party YouTube video to get it to work with a Behringer mixer.

So I recently upgraded my midi studio and purchased a bunch of cool gear. I was unprepared for how this would impact my workflow and found myself spending too much time using the mouse and keyboard (which don't live at my synth station,) the disruption in workflow was killing my output. Since I purchased this I'm back! The transport functions alone are cutting down on the number of takes I'm recording to nail parts and THAT is saving me even more time. Really like this piece!!!
Awesome for Pro Logic

I use this for pro logic x on my Mac instead of another brand and I am beyond happy. The faders work great and the buttons are responsive. There is alittle learning of you want to get deep into it but there are tons of videos on YouTube. Can't wait to get a few of the x touch faders for mixing more channels at once

Enhances my workflow. Minor bugs

I use Logic Pro, and right off the bat this control surface was completely compatible with the Daw. The dedicated buttons do what they should, it's a very intuitive control surface. I love real faders, buttons, and knobs as opposed to just clicking the mouse thousands of times, so it really enhances my mixing workflow. Behringer packed a lot of great features in this surface for a very reasonable price, I've been very content with the quality for the price. The only problem I've ever had with it is that sometimes when you touch a fader, or move a faster, it will instantly change the fader position of a different random fader somewhere in the mix. Doesn't happen enough to where I want to get another control surface, but it does happen enough that it loses a star for me. But that's the only problem I've ever had with it.
