Behringer

collapse expand iconDescription

The Behringer XM8500 dynamic vocal microphone lets you capture clear, detailed vocals whether on stage or in the studio. With its cardioid pickup pattern, the XM8500 mic focuses on the sound directly in front of it, isolating your voice from unwanted ambient noise. The integrated shock mount reduces handling noise to practically nothing so you get pristine audio free of distracting thuds and bumps and with its XLR output, you can plug the XM8500 directly into any mixing console or microphone preamp.

Cardioid Pickup Pattern Focuses on Your Voice

The cardioid polar pattern of the XM8500 mic lets you capture clear, focused sound by minimizing ambient noise around the stage or studio. The tighter pickup area hones in on the audio directly in front of the mic, isolating your vocals from any surrounding instruments or room reverberation. This makes the XM8500 an excellent choice for live performances where isolation is key, as well as recording vocals in less-than-ideal acoustic environments.

Shock Mount Reduces Unwanted Handling Noise

With its integrated shock mount, the XM8500 dynamic microphone effectively eliminates any unwanted thuds, bumps or vibrations from being picked up. This allows you to confidently adjust or reposition the mic on stage without creating any distracting handling noise and the shock absorption also makes the XM8500 ideal for close-miked instruments or amplifiers where mechanical noise is a concern.

Wide Frequency Response Captures Vocal Nuances

A frequency response of 50Hz–15kHz allows the Behringer XM8500 to reproduce the subtle tones and natural character of your voice with exceptional clarity and detail. The extended high-end pickup ensures excellent articulation and presence, while the solid low-end response captures the rich body and warmth of your vocal range, making the XM8500 mic a great choice for both live performances and studio recording applications.

Integrated Pop Filter Minimizes Plosives

The XM8500 vocal microphone comes equipped with a built-in two-stage pop filter, helping to tame distracting plosives and breath sounds. By dissipating blasts of air pressure, the integrated filter minimizes pops for smoother, more broadcast-ready vocals, which is ideal for podcasts, voiceovers, live streaming and any application where vocal clarity is paramount.

Great sound, easily broken

this mic has a great sound, after running it thru various amps(and karaoke machines)it still sounded teriffic. the clean vocals sounded impresivly clear for a mic of its price range, & the screaming vocals sounded brutal but toned. the only problem w/ it is that it broke the 1st time i dropped it, the floor was concrete but it broke even tho the fall wasnt hi. im considering a sennheiser or shure, but probably not this one again.

This microphone cannot be connected to a 3.55m plug. It would need to be connected to an audio interface to be connected to a computer.

This is not a wireless microphone. The XM8500 will require a microphone cable to connect to your audio source.

Hello, I want to use this for a wedding that is outside. I have s Harmon kardon bluetooth speaker and wanted to know would this be able to connect to it? It only has two plugs. One is a power and the other a mini USB. I want to make sure since I purchased two mics from Amazon and they both suck.

The mini input on your bluetooth speaker is line level, whereas this item is mic level. You would need a small mixer.
