Can I input a guitar and rout this out to 4 different amplifiers?
So I dont have to keep switching the cord between amps, I can just use the channel selector to switch amps?

Yes, you can use the Black Lion Audio LS‑4 Line Selector to route your guitar signal to four different amplifiers—but with a key caveat: it operates at line level, not instrument (guitar) level. What It Does The LS‑4 is a passive 2-in, 8-out line-level selector, capable of sending a stereo source to up to four separate destinations—perfect for routing to multiple effects chains, monitors, or headphone outputs. You can set it to output to any one or combination of the four outputs via simple button switches . Guitar vs. Line-Level Signals Guitar pickups output a high-impedance, instrument-level signal. The LS‑4 expects low-impedance, line-level signals (like from a preamp, pedal, interface, mixer) So if you plug your guitar directly into the LS‑4, you’ll likely get a weak, thin tone with low output. How to Use It Properly with Guitar Amps To make it work as intended: Insert a buffer/preamp between your guitar and the LS-4. This can be: A direct box (DI) with active buffering, A clean overdrive/boost pedal used solely as a buffer, Or the line-level output of a pedalboard/amp modeller. Connect the buffered output to one of the LS‑4’s inputs. Run outputs A–D to up to four guitar amps or amp channels. Select which amplifier gets the signal by pressing the corresponding output button on the LS‑4—no need to plug/unplug cables. Why This Works The LS‑4 is totally passive and tone-neutral, offering zero coloration to your signal. It was designed for effects auditioning, monitor switching, and routing, making it ideal for visible signal distribution task. Bottom Line Yes, you can route to four amps and toggle between them using the LS‑4’s selector switches. But, you cannot plug straight from guitar to LS‑4—you must buffer or preamp the signal first. With a proper buffer, the setup works cleanly and effectively, eliminating the need to swap cables mid-performance.
