Save 1K Skip the Exotic and go with Americana

My friend has a Americana that I played and fell in love with... I finally had a acoustic that played like an electric. I bought a Exotic Ziracote/Black Limba. Beautifully crafted but the exotic "tone wood" is a tone suck. It sounds like wet cardboard cigar box. Save 1k and get spuce.

I played a friend Acoustasonic Strat exotic woods guitar and I loved it. I went to GuitarCenter Hollywood last night to buy one and played the Americana's you had in the store. But the neck and playability was not anywhere near as good as my friends. Is the neck on the Exotic woods version made differently?
No, the Exotic wood version is specked the same.submitted3 years ago

I would really like to order one of these guitars in the natural ziricote. However, I purchase nothing "sight unseen". Is it possible to see a photo of the actual instrument that I would be purchasing before I go ahead and buy it ?
Unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible to see a photo of the actual instrument that I would be purchasing.submitted3 years ago

Am interested. Would like a real photo. What are the blemishes?
