G&L

collapse expand iconDescription

The G&L Tribute Series L-2500 electric bass guitar takes inspiration from Leo Fender’s original 1980 L-2000 bass model, packing all the features of the latest L-2000 in a 5-string model. Like the L-2000, the foundation of the L-2500 is a pair of G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers, backed by the flexible Tri-Tone control system with versatility for any flavor of bass line. The Tri-Tone system features a trio of mini toggles for pickup selection, series/parallel signal routing and active/passive operation, as well as a trio of knobs for volume, treble and bass. It also features an innovative Leo Fender-designed Saddle-Lock bridge to transfer string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument.

Bought this for a backup to my USA model. I'm happier than expected with this purchase. It actually has the USA pickups. The preamp is different. It's actually warmer sounding than the American and the B string is excellent. Neck is a little chunkier but comfortable. Pleasantly surprised
