The JBL PRX835W, a revolutionary powered loudspeaker that provides full wireless control through the PRX Connect mobile app. Part of the JBL PRX-800W series, the PRX835W presents all of the latest innovations developed by the research team at JBL. Featuring 1,500 watts of power, a 15" woofer and a 6.5" midrange speaker, the PRX835W delivers best-in-class sound. The PRX835W is designed for live performances, with a remarkably lightweight and durable design that is ready for the road.

Complete Wireless Control Through the PRX Connect App

The PRX835W is the first PA system in its class to offer total wireless control through the free PRX Connect mobile app. The app connects wirelessly to each unit in the system at once, providing full control over the powerful DSP. Tune the 8-band parametric EQ, adjust speaker delay and gain, save presets for fast setup—all from the PRX Connect app on your iOS or Android device. Walk around the venue during soundcheck and fine-tune the speakers for optimal sound. Configure shows offline and save presets for future use. With PRX Connect, you have complete control of your sound.

Legendary JBL Sound and Reliability

Featuring a 15" JBL Differential Drive woofer and 6.5" midrange speaker with reduced magnet mass and increased power handling, the PRX835W provides flat frequency response and smooth off-axis behavior for pristine sound quality at any volume. The all-wood cabinets are built to last, with durable tongue-in-groove joints, tour-proven DuraFlex finish and dent-resistant steel grilles. Rigorously tested to ensure peak performance, the remarkably lightweight PRX835W delivers JBL's signature sound reliably and powerfully.

Flexible Connectivity and Advanced Signal Processing

The PRX835W offers XLR, 1/4", and RCA inputs as well as an XLR mix out for connecting a variety of sources. DBX Type IV limiting protects the system from damage at high volumes by easing it back to a safe level, ensuring an accurate, uncompressed sound. An intelligent variable-speed fan cools the system only as needed for the best sound quality.

Road-Ready and Built to Perform

With an efficient 1,500-watt power amp, lightweight design, and durable components, the PRX835W is made for the demands of live performance. Take full advantage of JBL engineering and technology with the PRX835W—a cutting-edge powered PA system that puts total wireless control of your sound into the palm of your hand.

Fell in love with these cabinets the moment they were unboxed. Dropped on top of the 800 series subs, plugged 'em in and done! The mids changed everything for our sound tech. Super easy to dial in....

Was skeptical after a bad experience with the JBL PRX 735's very poor build quality. The 835's seem to have improved on that. The sound of the 735's was great as are the 835's and the 835 also have a 3db increase in max SPL which is substantial. I do agree that the gain needs to be turned to at least 3 o'clock for a very good volume, but that was explained by the techs that JBL lowered the default DB level for protective issues of inexperienced users. They are made to go 3 - 6 o'clock without overstressing the amp. I have a band and ran them just above 3 o'clock all night and they were barely warm. I really like the 90-degree dispersion and it IS REAL. We played in a weird room that had a T-Bone shape and i went to the farthest end off to the left and the sound and vocals had NO DROP OFF !! Amazing! That 90degree spread is why I chose them over the SRX 835s and I also chose the EV ETX15s over the SRX 815s. Extremely happy on both counts. I will update on the 835 build quality after a few months. So far so good!

I am a JBL customer since 1990's, have had the previous version prx712 and 735, I now have upgraded to prx812w and prx835w and am very pleased to switch over. JBL keeps improving their equipment very smartly. I love JBL quality, features and durability, I have never had any issues to date with any of these professional speaker systems, as long as you take care of them they will work and be ready. A few side notes, in these versions they took away the standby feature and red front light and cleaned up the rear panel, however the line/mic button/green light is now has 3 attenuation levels which are not fully described in the manual. 1st position attenuation is line level no light, hold button to get the 2nd attenuation blinking light, hold button again to get the 3rd attenuation solid green light. I experimented to find this out after the volume levels were different when I hooked up the prx800 series to my mixer as compared with the prx700 series hooked up next to it. In other words the volume setting knob on the prx800's vs the attenuation level on the blinking light mode are set differently than on the prx700 series FYI. So when setting up the prx800 series know that the same levels set from your previous prx700s are a little different settings to get same volume, you will see what I mean. No issues just slightly different model a little extra features they give (although the 2nd position is no where in the manual). Danna Pro Stage Keyboardist
