Description
The Mitchell O120CESB auditorium cutaway acoustic-electric guitar is perfect for players seeking a balanced and versatile instrument. With its comfortable auditorium size, it's ideal for those who find larger guitars less comfortable. The built-in electronics with 3-band EQ and tuner allow you to shape your sound and amplify it with ease, making it suitable for both stage and studio.
Auditorium Size for Enhanced Comfort and Playability

The single cutaway provides access to the upper frets, allowing you to explore a wider range of notes and play intricate lead lines.
Select Spruce and Mahogany for a Balanced Tone
The O120CESB features a select spruce top and mahogany back and sides, a classic combination of tonewoods that delivers a balanced and versatile sound. Spruce offers clarity and projection, while mahogany adds warmth and resonance. This combination creates a rich, full tone that's suitable for a variety of playing styles and musical genres.
Built-in Electronics for Versatile Performance
The O120CESB is equipped with built-in electronics, including an undersaddle pickup and a preamp with a 3-band EQ and tuner. This allows you to easily amplify your sound and shape your tone to suit any playing situation. Whether you're performing on stage, recording in the studio, or practicing at home, the O120CESB delivers exceptional versatility and performance.
Classic Aesthetics with Modern Features
The O120CESB combines classic aesthetics with modern features. The high-gloss vintage sunburst finish, multi-ply body binding, and abalone soundhole rosette give it a timeless and elegant look. Good guitar, but...
I bought this guitar and when I brought it home realized there was a crack/finish scratch on the neck. When returning t to the store I noticed a screw loose also. The second guitar was in perfect condition and very well packaged. I am pleased with the purchase. It has a good sound and quality build.

AVOID BUYING A MITCHELL GUITAR AT ALL COSTS!
Title: Mitchell Guitar Purchase Nightmare: Poor Quality, Worse Customer Service My recent experience with a Mitchell guitar purchased from Guitar Center has been nothing short of a nightmare. The breaking point came when, after the neck of the guitar snapped in two due to a design flaw, I reached out to customer service for assistance. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of a frustrating and unproductive ordeal. First and foremost, it took over a month for customer service to respond to my initial email. I had attached clear pictures of the broken guitar along with the sale receipt, hoping for a resolution to the issue. To my astonishment, the response I received was dismissive, stating that they could do nothing because it was deemed an "ACCIDENT." What's infuriating is that the accident was a direct result of the flawed design of the guitar itself. Growing impatient with the lack of progress, I decided to call customer service. However, my attempt to seek assistance was met with an over an hour-long hold time. Frustrated and unable to wait any longer, I had no choice but to hang up. This lengthy hold time suggests that there might be a significant influx of calls, indicating that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with Mitchell guitars. It seems that numerous customers are grappling with the low quality and myriad issues associated with these instruments. Mitchell guitars, touted as a Guitar Center brand, appears to be more focused on ripping off unsuspecting beginners than delivering a quality product. This disappointing experience has not only left me without a functional guitar but has also strained my budget to the point where I cannot afford to purchase a replacement. I strongly advise potential buyers to steer clear of Mitchell guitars at all costs. The combination of poor craftsmanship, design flaws, and abysmal customer service makes this brand a regrettable choice for anyone looking to embark on their guitar-playing journey. Save yourself the frustration and financial loss by considering alternative, more reputable brands for your musical aspirations

Great guitar, very attractive look and relatively well-sized for an average sized girl. The body is hollow and produces an airy reverb, which i love. My only complaint is that the strings are very rough on the fingers so I would recommend replacing them. Great piece overall!

I bought this guitar during Covid lockdowns cause I wanted to learn guitar. I loved it then and still love it today. I use the D'addario silk and steel strings with it and it sounds great. I feel like it holds tuning pretty well, haven't really used the electric capabilities too much. Highly recommend this guitar for the price.

I have two questions, 1. Is this Gutiar good for beginners/intermediate players, 2. Could the pick guard that comes on the Guitar be removed, and if it holds tuning
Hi there! Great questions — happy to help: Is the Mitchell O120CESB good for beginners/intermediate players? Yes, it’s a solid choice for both beginners and intermediate players. The auditorium body shape is comfortable to hold, especially for younger players or anyone who prefers a slightly smaller guitar than a dreadnought. It offers a nice balance of brightness and warmth, and the built-in electronics make it easy to plug in for gigs or practice with amplification. Overall, it’s a well-rounded guitar at a very reasonable price point. Can the pickguard be removed? The pickguard is usually attached with adhesive, so yes — it can be removed, but carefully. If you decide to take it off, it’s a good idea to use a hairdryer to soften the glue slightly and gently peel it away to avoid damaging the finish. Keep in mind, though, that depending on how long it’s been on, there might be a slight color difference where the pickguard was. Does it hold tuning? Yes, the Mitchell O120CESB holds tuning well, especially once the strings are properly stretched and settled. Like with any guitar, tuning stability also depends on factors like how it’s stored, the string quality, and how often it’s played. But overall, Mitchell guitars are known to stay in tune reliably with standard use.submitted4 months ago

is the action high on the guitar
The Mitchell O120CESB is an affordable auditorium-style acoustic-electric guitar, and like many factory-set guitars in its price range, it often comes with a medium to high action out of the box. This is done to avoid fret buzz, but it can make the guitar feel stiff or harder to play, especially for beginners or fingerstyle players.submitted4 months ago
