Recording King

collapse expand iconDescription

Recording King Series 11 guitars, like this RPS-11-FE3-TBR Single 0 acoustic-electric, are all-solid, no-compromise instruments with classic vintage styling and an affordable price tag. The Series 11 offers players all-solid tonewoods in a great-looking vintage-style package. Its extra-lightweight small-body Single 0 gives players a high-quality, affordable guitar with no compromise in tone or vibe.

The foundation of the Series 11 sound comes from a solid spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides. These traditional all-solid tonewoods deliver the fundamentals of acoustic tone at first strum, for a classic sound that will only continue to deepen over years of playing. For authentic vintage styling, the Series 11 Single 0 is finished in Tobacco Sunburst with an ultrathin satin finish. Classy low-key mother-of-pearl dots map the fretboard, and the vintage Recording King headstock design delivers classic 3-on-a-side vintage mojo.

Each Series 11 guitar comes from Recording King's workshop with great-sounding Fishman Sonitone electronics for guitars that are roadworthy as well as sonically and stylistically impressive.

A while ago I found some Amos Lee music on an old iPod I have. I really liked it and decided I wanted to learn how to play. I found an old 3/4 size classical in my basement, I learned a bit, and decided it was time for an upgrade. I went to Guitar Center, got some advice from professionals, and tried most of the guitars they had on display. This was by far the best, although it was a used version. When I say used, I mean very, very lightly used. Everything was perfect on it except a little nick in the headstock, but that's not a big deal. It was on sale since it was used, so that's a plus. I liked the sound better than every other guitar in the entire store. It has a very room-filling, warm sound that I love. It's not too big or too small, and the strings don't cut into your fingers as much as other guitars do. I highly recommend Recording King, they're a great brand.
